Gird thy grains of salt because the Married at First Sight Australia 2023 reunion is upon us, as is a sh*t-ton of drama, accusations and beef set to blow up the experiment.
The participants will reunite for the tenth season’s pièce de résistance in the two-part finale — a Dinner Party on April 2 and a Commitment Ceremony on April 3.
All was revealed in episode 274 of the So Dramatic! podcast, in which one insider said the reunion, which was filmed in mid-December 2022, saw a “huge divide” within the cast.
“It’s pretty much girls V boys,” they explained. “The girls sit on one side and the guys on the other. The girls go to town on the guys.”
We love to see it!
So, what TF can viewers expect from MAFS 2023‘s explosive reunion?
Melissa Sheppard’s nightmare return to Married at First Sight
After their cooked last Commitment Ceremony way back when, Melissa Sheppard (A.K.A. “freak in the sheets”) and Josh White faced each other at the reunion for the first time since exiting the experiment.
“Josh and Melissa were amicable,” one insider revealed. “Melissa went over to Josh and sat down next to him at the Dinner Party table and asked if they were OK.
“Josh then got up and hugged Mel.”
However, sh*t hit the fan at the final Commitment Ceremony when producers played back the couple’s highlights from the show.
“It was just about the sex stuff,” the source recalled. “Josh couldn’t even look Mel in the eyes because he felt so uncomfortable about what was shown.
“Mortified” by the scenes that were shown, “Mel was in defence mode”, which “doesn’t go down too well with the experts”.
What’s more, is that clips of the other brides “talking sh*t about Melissa” were shown.
“They all threw her under the bus and slut-shamed her,” one insider said, adding that Claire Nomarhas dished out the brunt of it.
What happened between Melissa Sheppard and Claire Nomarhas at the reunion?
Given Melissa was under the guise that she and Claire were “genuinely friends”, her words extremely hurt her.
“It was pretty nasty from Claire. She slut-shamed Melissa the most,” a contestant said.
“Melissa confronted Claire about it and said, ‘I saw your face and the faces you were pulling at me. You’re meant to be my friend. This is so hurtful.’”
Noting that “Claire is two-faced”, the participant said it wasn’t uncommon for the early childhood educator to “be nice to your face then say horrible things about you behind your back”.
After the hullabaloo of the slut-shaming and being “attacked” during her couch session, sources revealed that Melissa “stormed out of the ceremony”.
“Mel just backdoored it and doesn’t return because she was so hurt and was crying uncontrollably,” they said. “She was embarrassed to be around her peers after what they played of her. She was mortified.
“But the f*cked thing was, No one even called her to see where she was or if she was OK after she left.
“Melissa cried for two days after the reunion. She felt so embarrassed and unwanted.”
Sandy Jawanda exposes Dan Hunjas’ bizarre dating life at the Dinner Party
After So Dramatic! exposed Dan Hunjas for being a serial dater with whom we cannot keep up, sources dished that Sandy Jawanda blew the lid off her ex-TV hubby’s love life at the reunion.
“Sandy found out Dan had been dating a woman named Paris during filming,” one insider said. “She bombarded him with texts saying that she knows he was with Paris intimately during filming.
Apparently, another of Dan’s former flames told Sandy, who then “confronts him” at the Dinner Party.
“He gets called out by everyone,” the source continued. “Sandy and Dan were at each other big time, it was a huge drama at the reunion.”
Another source told host Megan Pustetto that Dan asked his other secret girlfriend, Danni, to fly to Sydney with him for the reunion and wait at the hotel until he got back.
The plan was to then go and party with him afterwards. However, she said no, so instead he invited Paris to go with him.
Sandy was later tipped off about this whole Danni business and has reportedly since been in contact with Dan’s secret bae.
“Sandy called Danni and asked for answers and closure and vented to her about everything,” a trusty spy said. “Dani apologised for everything that she went through on the show and her part in it.
“She told her she had tried to cut things off with Dan many times during filming.”
Dan Hunjas gets absolutely roasted by the Married at First Sight experts at the reunion
So Dramatic!‘s sources also spilled on what happens when Dan and Sandy sit down on the couch with the experts one final time.
In short: Dan gets absolutely roasted.
“Dan does not come off looking good,” a contestant revealed. “He complained to production about the highlights video they played, calling it the Sandy Show and that it wasn’t what he was promised when being cast.”
ICYMI: Dan was scouted for MAFS and copped a pretty sweet deal compared to his co-stars.
The source continued: “He wasn’t happy with his edit after watching the footage and that’s why he decided to go rogue.”
Shannon Adams has undergone intense therapy (thank God)
One of the worst grooms we’ve ever seen on MAFS was Shannon Adams, who treated his wife Caitlin McConville so badly they actually had to give her a free pass so she could get TF out of the experiment.
Now, according to sources, Shannon “seemed like a different person” at the Married at First Sight reunion.
“Shannon realised how badly he behaved on the show and got professional help,” they said.
“He actually did three months of solid therapy after filming and he’s been working on himself ever since.”
He’s also been working as an Uber Eats driver since the show wrapped.
Meanwhile, Caitlin scored a job with Melinda Willis and has found herself a new bae named Kobe Barton. Good for her!
Evelyn Ellis and Rupert Bugden don’t get time with the experts at the final Commitment Ceremony
Everyone’s favourite agent of chaos, Evelyn Ellis, is back, as is her newly dumped hubby Rupert Bugden.
However, don’t hold your breath on seeing the duo have it out on the couch because sources say they were overlooked for one final sesh with the experts!
Apparently, Evelyn and Rupert weren’t exciting enough for screen time, and the former Big Brother UK star is p*ssed.
“She wasn’t even going to rock up to the publicity the day after the reunion because she was p*ssed off that she didn’t get a couch session,” one insider said.
They ran out of time because we were there until the sun came up.
“John [Aiken] goes, ‘Well, you guys just didn’t have a big enough storyline and you were too involved in everyone else’s relationship.
“‘You didn’t really focus too much on your own… All you did was nitpick Rupert about all the things that he wasn’t doing.’”
We mean, fair, but we are eternally grateful for Evelyn constantly grilling Harrison Boon. Way more interesting if you ask us!
Lyndall Grace is set to ‘hold no prisoners’ over Cam Woods and Tayla Winter’s fling
As previously reported by So Dramatic!, Cam Woods and Tayla Winter had a huge chemistry on set that they allegedly acted on once they left the experiment.
According to MAFS participants, Lyndall Grace goes ham on the duo at the reunion, inciting a “big sexting scandal” off the back of news that Cam flashed his p*nis to Tayla over FaceTime.
“Lyndall was furious when she found out. She always had a suspicion something was going on between them,” one source said.
“Tayla denies it and says they’re just friends and haven’t been intimate.”
However, a second source claims the intruder bride did, in a way, admit to the fling.
“Tayla turns around and says, ‘Well, I don’t owe you any loyalty, we’re not friends’,” they claimed. “But then, on the couch, she changed her tune and said, ‘We’re just friends. Nothing has happened yet.’
“Someone then goes, ‘Yet?’ And she goes, ‘Oh, I didn’t mean it like that.’ It was very telling. She slipped up big time.”
When scenes from Lyndall and Cam’s relationship were played back, the tradie’s treatment of his wife shocked other cast members.
“Cam was soooo mean to Lyndall. Like, awful,” one star declared. “When we watched their scenes back at the reunion, we were like, ‘Holy f*cking shit’.
“It was beyond.”
ICYMI: Lyndall also had some post-filming rendezvous with both Josh and Hugo Armstrong, whom she allegedly cheated on her current bae James Dykie with. What a tangled web they weave!
The Married at First Sight 2023 reunion becomes The Harrison Boon Show — again
As we all know, Bronte Schofield and Harrison‘s marriage kicked off with drama surrounding his alleged romance with The Bachelors 2023‘s Abby Miller.
So Dramatic! previously reported that Bronte got in touch with the Bachie babe, asking for clarity about the nature of their relationship.
What the Western Australian didn’t know, however, was that Harrison and Abby reunited post-filming, and things became “serious” between them again.
A production source revealed that Harrison also managed to get his hands on a copy of the dramatic text convo. Awh, we’re feeling less special now!
The spy explained: “When Harrison found out he begged Abby to send it to him so he could use it against Bronte.
“Then at the reunion, he printed it out on an A4 piece of paper and showed everyone at the table at the reunion.”
Printing out a text convo (à la Judge Judy) is SO extra, and we honestly can’t wait to see that play out on TV.
Bronte was reportedly “furious” at Harrison, claiming that she’d never speak to him again.
“He completely destroys her credibility and twists it to make her look bad and himself look good,” our insider said.
And the serial gaslighter strikes again!
Harrison Boon ‘manipulated his way into a friendship’ with Alyssa Barmonde to have ‘a girl on his team’
Other sources claimed Harrison manipulated his way into a friendship with Alyssa Barmonde by using the common ground of them both having sons the same age.
“He wanted to have a girl on his team to back him up at the reunion because it would look better for him,” one explained. “The girls tried to tell Alyssa what he was doing but she couldn’t see it at the time.”
That is, until Bronte spilled the beans about the REAL reason Duncan James dumped Alyssa at Final Vows.
“Alyssa called Bronte to tell her how heartbroken she was about the Final Vows. She had no idea why Duncan had suddenly changed and ended things,” they said.
“That’s when Bronte told her why Duncan had really dumped her. She explained that Harrison had gotten in Duncan’s ear and told him he should break up with her.”
Apparently, Harrison told Duncan several times, ‘Why would you settle for a 35-year-old single mum when you’re going to have 21-year-olds in your DMs after this?’”
“After hearing this, it all made sense to Alyssa, and she finally could see how manipulative Harrison could be.”
Alyssa Barmonde CONFRONTS Harrison Boon at the Married at First Sight reunion
After Bronte spilled this piping hot tea to the baker, Alyssa raked Harrison over the coals for his comments to Duncan.
“Alyssa does not hold back. She goes for Harrison hard and loses it at him,” a contestant recalled. “Everyone goes dead silent.”
In a true win for the girlies, “Harrison eventually admits it” and even goes as far as to apologise to Alyssa.
“But in the same breath, demands an apology from Bronte,” they added. “She told him to f*ck off, then turned her chair away from him.
“She said she doesn’t even like to breathe the same oxygen as him because it’s exhausting and calls him an oxygen thief.”
Harrison Boon is proven wrong when he and Bronte Schofield participate in the Married at First Sight reunion
The second night of the reunion served Harrison a big ol’ slice of humble pie and, honestly, thank f*ck.
“The experts go hard at Harrison. They tell him that he lacks the ability to take any accountability or ownership for his behaviour and actions, and it’s always Bronte’s fault in his mind,” one contestant spilled.
“Bronte also goes hard on him saying, ‘All I did was protect you and defend you, which I didn’t have to do. But I was trying to be a good partner’.”
However, her ex-hubby turns it around on her and her sister, Kirra, who he claimed “yelled” at him during home stays week.
“So, the experts say, ‘OK, well, let’s watch the footage for ourselves’.”
Lo and behold, there was “no yelling”.
“Bronte’s sister was cool, calm and collected and everyone was like, ‘Where’s the yelling?'” one participant explained.
“It’s so embarrassing for him. It’s his complete undoing because it proves he just lies about everything.”
The source continued: “It was so ridiculous that the experts were laughing at him by the end of it.
“The whole cast was rolling their eyes.”
Harrison Boon demands producers re-edit Married at First Sight after the reunion
According to MAFS spies, Harrison wasn’t impressed with his portrayal after watching scenes back at the reunion.
“He thought he was going to be the alpha male jock type and Bronte was going to be the villain,” they said.
“Afterwards, he emailed Alex and Molly, the executive producers, to try and get his edit redone to make Bronte look worse.”
Apparently, the father-of-one was “claiming that it wasn’t real and not what happened”.
“Everyone was like, ‘Dude, we’re literally watching everything that you said that you didn’t do. Everything you said you didn’t say, we’ve just seen it with our own eyes’.”
Alyssa Barmonde cops a grilling from the experts over her treatment of Duncan James
We last saw Alyssa get dumped by hunky Duncy during their emotional Final Vows, but don’t fret — their reunion is touted to be very spicy for keen fans.
“Duncan and Alyssa were very frosty at the reunion. They were civil at the cocktail party before, but then at the table, Alyssa made some wild accusations about Duncan,” one contestant explained.
“She stands up and points at Duncan, saying, ‘I’ve got a child’, and claims that Duncan led her on and that he didn’t give it a go with her.
Noting that it was “intense with lots of yelling and screaming”, Duncan refused to “react”.
It got even worse once they took to the couch.
“The experts said something like, ‘Sometimes relationships don’t work out, but Duncan has always carried himself with class and not stooped to Alyssa’s level and made derogatory comments about her’.” Yikes.
The experts then “turn to Alyssa and give it to her”, stating that her Dinner Party behaviour was “disgusting”.
“They call her out for it and say there are some hard lessons for her in it. She’s not happy about it and breaks down crying.”
And with that, we’ve also learned some hard lessons ourselves…
Never go on reality TV to find love. You may just cop a villain edit.
