A Married at First Sight Australia 2023 producer has exposed the reality behind Sandy Jawanda and Dan Hunjas‘ shock sex rendezvous.
The series’ first-ever Indian bride threw her co-stars and viewers for a six after revealing she’d done the deed with Dan — just hours after he admitted he wasn’t “sexually attracted” to her.
As the story goes, Sandy appeared to be left in the lurch by her hubby after they were intimate, which led to Dan receiving the grilling of a lifetime at the next Dinner Party.
However, as reported in episode 265 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the storyline of the bride being the “victim” in the intimacy drama isn’t exactly the truth.
So Dramatic! has obtained handwritten diary entries from the couple, which one rogue producer alleged were used by Dan and Sandy to communicate “when mic’d up and not wanting producers to hear”.
Eventually, “the book got confiscated by producers”. And luckily, it fell into our hands!
What was detailed in Married at First Sight‘s Sandy Jawanda and Dan Hunjas’ diary entries?
Following the February 26 Commitment Ceremony, Sandy wrote a list of objectives that she wanted to achieve for the week.
The first point was: “Physical intimacy > lead.”
According to our source, this was key as “for all previous weeks she was avoiding Dan“.
“[She] felt it was overwhelming even holding hands with Dan in public,” they added.
The second objective was for the duo to do “two activities” together, which ended up being axe-throwing and “a big walk around the harbour together”. However, these scenes were left on the cutting room floor. Sad!
The third objective, however, is where things get a little bit more interesting.
The final dot point was labelled “sex”, which the producer said was her “premeditated intentions of having sex with Dan”, even after he said he wasn’t into her physically.
The insider explained that Dan claimed Sandy woke her hubby up in the early hours of the morning and initiated physical intimacy.
Because this didn’t fit in with producers’ storylines, they “had to step in and narrate a slightly alternative series of events”.
“We also encouraged Dan to bring it up at the dinner party as this was the time that other couples had previously shared this kind of information,” the producer continued.
“We were then able to get Sandy to talk on [mic] separately that she didn’t approve of Dan making it public.”
Ah, the wonderful wide world of reality TV, hey?!
What else was revealed in Sandy Jawanda’s Married at First Sight diary?
As previously revealed, Sandy was already privy to Adam Seed and Claire Nomarhas‘ cheating scandal long before Claire confessed to her.
Now, in subsequent snaps of Sandy’s diary, entries confirm this was true.
“My pre-discussion was with Claire today,” she wrote. “After the [unintelligible] Jesse thought she was talking to Adam on the phone. I guess Jesse is more clued in than we thought.” SPICY!
In a different entry, Sandy penned, “Bronte [Schofield] still hasn’t come back”.
“I don’t get why… To create drama… all an act.”
It isn’t just Sandy’s assumption that Bronte is turning up the drama.
So Dramatic!‘s host Megan Pustetto also dished that Melinda is set to blow up on the bride for being “fake” during the Couples’ Retreat.
