Leaked text messages have revealed that Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Sandy Jawanda was privy to Claire Nomarhas and Adam Seed‘s pub pash well before her friend told her on camera.
ICYMI: Claire sought advice from Sandy in the January 20 episode of the marriage experiment, confiding in her that she’d cheated on Jesse Burford despite claiming for weeks she hadn’t done so.
The show intimated that this chat was the first Sandy was aware of the smooch. However, Yahoo! Lifestyle has confirmed the Indian bride WITNESSED the kiss first-hand.
Sandy — who is paired with Dan Hunjas — expressed she wasn’t pleased with the hookup in a series of texts with Adam from 10:30 pm to 12:30 am that night.
“I’m sorry for how I made you [feel] honestly,” he reportedly penned. “Just wanna turn back the clocks and start fresh for real.”
“I don’t hate you,” Sandy explained, adding she’s “have to tell [producer] Molly” about the pash.
Obviously, that never happened and she instead kept her lips sealed.

Adam continued to apologise again for the kiss, saying he was “glad” Sandy wasn’t “holding [him] to that”.
“This experiment is getting the better of us and production clearly doing their absolute best to twist sh*t and turn people on each other,” he expressed.
“No matter what drama we all gotta face we all be friends after this once all [is] said and done.”
Several other MAFS cast members were reportedly aware of the kiss that same night. Producers soon became suspicious that something had occurred after shutting down the group’s party.

The publication also reported that Sandy wrote about the scandal at length in her journal, including about how Jesse suspected infidelity took place.
“After the drinks, Jesse thought she was talking to Adam on the phone,” she wrote. “I guess Jesse is more clued on than we thought. He barged into Adam and Janelle’s room and accused Adam of talking to her.”
In a subsequent entry, Sandy wrote about how Claire and Adam’s lies made her feel during the first Commitment Ceremony.
“I feel Adam’s eyes on me,” she penned. “It’s awkward. I don’t like his intentions.”
It was several weeks after this that producers persuaded Sandy and Claire to film the “fake” confession scene, despite Sandy being aware of the kiss all along.
Hmm… The producers should really think about changing the name of this show to Puppetry at First Sight…
