As if Married at First Sight Australia 2023 hasn’t already been dramatic enough, turns out a couple was also swept out to sea during their honeymoon.
As revealed in episode 256 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a spy’s father-in-law had to save one of the MAFS couples during their Hamilton Island vacay.
And the couple at the centre of the emergency rescue was none other than Jesse Burford and Claire Nomarhas!
Not a very good omen to start off a marriage with!
What else has been happening with Claire and Jesse on this season of Married at First Sight?
Aside from being swept out to sea, the bubbly kindergarten assistant and quirky marriage celebrant had quite a rocky start to the experiment.
From Claire’s cheating scandal to Jesse’s ick list, and their tension-filled honeymoon, the couple have faced many twists and turns this season. Maybe the emergency rescue is to blame for them getting off on the wrong foot? Just saying!
However, the pair seemed to turn a page during Intimacy Week when viewers saw their relationship go from strength to strength. Aww!
Will it be smooth sailing for Jesse and Claire?

Whilst we love a good love story, So Dramatic! has reported that the romance between the pair may be short-lived.
One insider spills that in the coming weeks on MAFS, Claire did in fact kiss her co-star Adam Seed. Yikes!
And to make matters worse, it comes out that Claire has been lying to Jesse the entire time. Harrison will be delighted to know that he no longer has to cop all the heat, as the gaslighting club now has a new member!
We don’t think Claire’s crystals will be getting her out of this one…
