Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Janelle Han may have had a right to be concerned about Adam Seed‘s career, after it was revealed his giveaway business has only amassed a few hundred dollars.
During their debut in the marriage experiment on February 1, the beauty influencer was frustrated that her new husband couldn’t reassure her of his career stability.
ICYMI: Adam is a co-owner of Meta Competitions, a UK business where customers buy tickets to go into a prize draw, and the owners announce the winner during a Facebook Live stream.
Kinda like The Block bidder Adrian Portelli, just not as successful, according to one savvy Reddit user.
The Redditor admitted they’d crunched some numbers “based on the info available on Adam’s Meta Competition website”.
“It has seen sales worth £395.53 [$690.07],” they deduced.
They continued: “Now, I can’t say whether all the sales are listed in full. I don’t know whether there are any additional streams of income.
“But the number above is what you get when you multiply sales numbers by the entry price.”
A Meta Competitions clause indicates profits could be even less than projected
There is also a clause in Meta Competitions‘ FAQs that states 50 per cent of ticket sale profits will be given away if a particular competition doesn’t sell out.
“If at the end of the timer the competition hasn’t sold out we will draw a winner who will receive 50 [per cent] of all ticket sales for that competition,” the site reads.
“We may offer a prize greater than 50 [per cent] at our discretion.”
Given this, Meta Competitions’ profits may be even lower than anticipated…

Other Reddit users were quick to point out that the 35-year-old is a keen Crypto bro, which may significantly add to his net worth.
“He’s apparently worth a cool mill[ion, so maybe he struck lucky with his Crypto,” one wrote.
Another noted that they’d read that the serial reality star was worth a conflicting $1.6 million AND $250,000. But “those were both from those ‘celebrity net worth’ sites” and, as such, were taken “with a grain of salt”.
However, when discussing finances onscreen, Adam told producers that he had “no idea” how much he’s made through Crypto.
Adam’s career success wasn’t the only point of contention for his new bae Janelle.
