Alyssa Barmonde‘s BFF has come to the defence of the Married at First Sight 2023 bride after team Duncan James fans hurled abuse.
Taking to Instagram, Amy May, shared some of the messages the mother-of-one has received from spiteful people who reckon Alyssa has ruined dreamboat Duncan, even though their relationship is toxic AF, and claimed viewers aren’t getting the full story.
“One of my best friends is getting so much hate due to a poor edit on MAFS,” Alyssa’s BFF wrote.
“Alyssa is a beautiful, kind and sensitive soul.
“Meanwhile Duncan is portrayed as a f***ing angel… if only people knew the truth.”
They sure got the bit about being a “sensitive” soul right. I mean we rarely see Alyssa without tissues.

“Ugh I truly feel sorry for Duncan, everything’s all about you and how you feel it’s cringe,” one person wrote.
“Maybe try actually listening and caring about how your partner feels It’s not all about Alyssa.
“I’d hate to be him”.
Alyssa and her “child” once again is a point of contention
In another message, a different person berated Alyssa for putting her “child” first – a phrase that comes up so often we should turn it into a drinking game. And honestly, a stiff drink is what we need to get through the last few episodes of the season.
“I can’t believe how cruel you were to Duncan on MAFS,” they wrote.
“He is the perfect gentleman and treated you like gold, and all you can worry about is yourself and how we won’t understand about being a parent.
“You never even gave him a chance.
“GET OVER YOURSELF.
“You are the most selfish, demeaning, cruellest person I have ever come across!!
“Poor Duncan, you actually made him cry!! Unbelievable!!
“Why the f*** did you go on MAFS in the first place if all that matters to you is your child.
“You should just stay a single Mum, and stop hurting people!!”
But that’s not all. Another critic really scraped the bottom of the barrel calling Alyssa a “dam fool” and a “useless blonde insecure bimbo”. Class act right there.
“You deserve to be alone,” they wrote.
“Your too hard work and your a useless blonde insecure bimbo! [sic]”
That particular person, who goes by Sarah Jansen on Facebook, wasn’t done after her first rant and went back in for more.
“What a goddam train wreck you are!,” they continued.
“Shameful watching your pathetic actions against such a caring genuine kind gentlemen.
“Your as bad a Harrison! [sic]” A low blow by any standard.
