Cameron Woods was reportedly forced to stay on Married at First Sight Australia 2023 until Final Vows despite wanting to leave a month earlier.

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, the 27-year-old carpenter was told he had to “see his storyline through,” as producers wanted his on-screen wife Lyndall Grace to dramatically dump him. And that she did!

The couple were struggling halfway through the experiment as Cameron refused to show the accountant any affection. He also showed no signs of compromise when discussing their future as a long-distance couple.

The 27-year-old singer could tell the relationship wasn’t going anywhere, so she teamed up with producers to “fight” for Cameron just so she could brutally dump him at Final Vows.

“Cam wanted to leave for four weeks before Final Vows, but producers said he had to see his storyline through,” a source told Yahoo Lifestyle.

“He and Lyndall both knew it was never going to work, and they weren’t going to carry on outside of the experiment. [Producers] just kept him in to humiliate him in the end.” And we’re glad they did!

After serving Cameron’s head on a silver platter, the former bride took one final stab when she refused to listen to her ex-husband’s vows.

“I just feel like no matter what you say today, it’s only going to disappoint me again. I think I’m just done,” she said.

Yasss queen! This is definitely one of the most iconic moments in MAFS history!

Producers forced Bronte Schofield to stay on Married at First Sight

Cameron wasn’t the only MAFS contestant who claims they were ‘forced’ to stay on the show.

Allegedly, producers also “manipulated” Bronte Schofield into staying until the bitter end.

Sources dished to So Dramatic! that producers weren’t keen on the beauty educator leaving when she told them her plans after ditching the recent Dinner Party.

Bronte was hysterical,” they revealed. “She started losing her sh*t, saying ‘I’m leaving’.

“At 9 am, the producer called her begging her to stay and trying to change her mind.”

They reportedly told the 28-year-old not to “act on impulse”, particularly after she and Harrison had “come this far”.

There were also reports that Bronte and her on-screen hubby Harrison Boon had a “pact” to stay until Final Vows.

However, Bronte was adamant that her “self-worth was more important than this bullsh*t with Harrison”, and wasn’t willing to keep up the charade for the storyline’s sake.

During an appearance on Fitzy and Wippa, the 32-year-old also claimed that he was forced to stay on the show. But we’re not going to let him gaslight us into believing that!
