Melinda Willis and Layton Mills made it official during their Final Vows and Married at First Sight Australia 2023 fans couldn’t be happier for them.
In the March 26 episode, the pair decided to put their differences aside and continue their relationship IRL.
The first to deliver their vows was the biotech CEO.
“Mel, I came here with genuine intentions to find love. I wanted to find the person I could build a family with and have my happily ever after,” he started.
The 35-year-old spoke about the “fireworks” and “passion” that fuelled their relationship, however, he stated that “somewhere along the way the journey became difficult.”
He admitted that he let his “pride and ego get the better of [him],” and this is the accountability we love to see!
The groom then took the viewers on an emotional journey and TBH, we weren’t sure which way he was going to go.
After stating that he feared their differences would cause them to “bring out the worst in each other,” he confessed his love for his on-screen wife.
And just like that, our hearts melted.
We’re so proud of Layton for finally listening to his emotions instead of his head!
Married at First Sight fans tease Layton for his boardroom mentality
Although Layton’s vows were cute AF, many MAFS fans teased him for his business-like mindset.
However, despite his overuse of boardroom lingo, we still think Layton’s vows were adorable.
Melinda poured out her heart during her Final Vows
As if we hadn’t gone through enough emotional turmoil, the 32-year-old’s Final Vows also left us guessing until the very end.
The beauty CEO spoke about the “highs and lows” she experienced throughout the experiment, stating that she was hurt at the Final Dinner Party.
“At the Final Dinner Party I confessed how I felt about you and instead of reassuring me, that night you made me feel alone, humiliated and attacked by my own partner at a time when I was my most vulnerable,” she shared.
At this point, we thought she was going to end it then and there.
However, things took a positive turn as the bride began to list all the things she loved about Layton.
“I love your ability to light up any room you walk into and the time you always have for others. Most of all I love how you make me feel loved without actually having to love me at all.” Aww.
Melinda then confessed that Layton was her “perfect match,” before saying: “I love you and I want us to be together.”
YAY! We are so happy for them!
And it seems like MAFS fans are just as obsessed with the pair as we are!
In episode 267 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it was confirmed that the pair are still going strong!
We just love these two, and we’re so glad their relationship didn’t end up “for the bin.“
