Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Melinda Willis‘ high school yearbook photo has been unearthed and it seems sass and confidence have been long-running traits for the bride.
The outspoken 32-year-old has shown off her zest for life in the marriage experiment with her one-liners and comebacks at the Dinner Parties.
And now that we’ve got our hands on this throwback snap, we can see she’s always been ICONIC!
The photo shows the current MAFS bride smiling at the camera, looking as fabulous as ever.
From her perfect hair to her flawless makeup, it’s no wonder she ended up as a boss babe in the beauty industry.
According to the yearbook photo, Melinda used to be called “Melly Baby”, which seems totally fitting given how sassy she is on MAFS.
The TV bride now owns a business called Melly’s Beauty Parlour, so it’s nice to see that she embraces her past moniker, too!

While she is now dominating the beauty industry, the yearbook reveals that the influencer wanted to “become an actress” when she was older.
She’s not alone; breaking into the acting world is an ambition she definitely shares with her co-stars, because, come on — no one is wholly on the show to find love, right?
We know she’s been trying to get onto reality TV for years, so her stint on this season of MAFS would totally make her teenage self proud.
Finally, the school photo reveals some of the outspoken businesswoman’s “likes” and “dislikes”.
Apparently, Melinda likes shopping and dislikes spiders, and TBH same. We feel this on a spiritual level!
Amidst the gaslighting, cheating and overall chaos on MAFS 2023, Melinda’s loyalty and no-BS attitude has been refreshing to watch.
Her relationship with her on-screen hubby Layton Mills has gone from strength to strength, and who knows? They may even be this season’s power couple — so long as they’re not acting, that is!
