Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Bronte Schofield skipped this week’s Dinner Party because she ‘wasn’t coping.’
The 2023 Couples’ Retreat saw the 28-year-old get into it with her fellow brides over her unwavering support for her walking-red-flag husband Harrison Boon. Then at the Girl’s Night, she walked out after a heated discussion with brides Claire Nomarhas and Sandy Jawanda.
Following the hostile interaction that left her crying in the bathroom on her own before being escorted out by producers, Bronte refused to attend the group’s next get-together.
As revealed in episode 268 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the Perth-based beauty refused to go because she “wasn’t coping and needed a break.”
“She was a no-show. She didn’t want to be around anyone,” a source close to Bronte explained. “During this time she really started to struggle mentally. She was having breakdowns, panic attacks, and nightmares and was crying constantly.
“Harrison and producers had completely crushed her.”

According to the insider, the 32-year-old builder sees Bronte’s absence at the Dinner Party as an opportunity to throw his wife under the bus.
“In her absence, Harrison tells the group that she abandoned him and all this crap. He played the victim,” they explained.
“He says she’s untrustworthy because she retracts everything she says, calls her a gaslighter, says she’s not there for genuine reasons, calls her an emotional manipulator, calls her a fake liar, and a bunch of other stuff.
“Basically, everything he is being accused of, he accuses Bronte of doing.” Yikes!
