During her audition, Bronte Schofield revealed she got major trust issues from dating narcissists and so, of course, she got matched with one on Married at First Sight Australia 2023.
The online beauty educator is one-half of this season’s most controversial marriages. Many of the brides and grooms have accused her on-screen hubby Harrison Boon of gaslighting and emotionally manipulating her.
And sadly, this is the type of guy the 28-year-old bride usually goes for IRL.
“Every single guy I’ve ever dated has been a narcissistic A-hole,” the bride shared in her leaked audition tape.
Bronte revealed that all of her exes started off “perfect”, but then began “love bombing” and “breadcrumbing” her.
“I’m gluten intolerant, you think breadcrumbs [are] gonna work with me?” she joked.

When asked what type of partner she’d been in the past, Bronte confessed that she had trust issues.
She admitted to checking her exes’ social media activity, looking at “who they were following” and what they were liking.
She also explained that she let all of her past relationships consume her.
“When I’ve been with somebody, [I’ve] been very fixated on them, and my business would take a hit,” she shared.
She then explained that this “obsession” with her ex-partners gave her separation anxiety.
“They’d leave, and I’d be like ‘when are they gonna message me again? Are they gonna message me again? Are they talking to other girls?’,” she confessed.
Well, the producers clearly stitched her up, because being paired with Harrison is only going to heighten her trust issues!

When asked how she navigates conflict, Bronte admitted to having a “short fuse.”
“I don’t let things fester. He could say one wrong thing and I’d be down his throat,” she revealed.
Bronte then explained that she gets very emotional during arguments.
“I do yell like I do get very heated,” she said, before stating that she often cries during confrontations because she is a very emotional person.
“I’m very outspoken and no one walks all over me,” she asserted. And honestly, we’re not sure about this one.
Although admitting to being confrontational, Bronte shared that she’s actually “a big softie.”
The bride said she was “affectionate”, “loving” and “quirky”, but she hadn’t found the right person to share these traits with.
Well, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing her quirky side any time soon, because as Melinda Willis would say, Harrison is headed “for the bin.”
