Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Bronte Schofield has revealed that her former friend Jessica Tomlinson knew that she was matched with Harrison Boon ahead of the wedding.

As reported in episode 254 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Bronte’s bridesmaid Lauren Alex and sister Kirra Schofield claimed “fame-hungry” the Bachie alum knew more about the wedding than she let on.

And now, Bronte has confirmed that Jessica knew her TV wedding was the same day as Harrison’s… but didn’t warn her in advance.

Speaking to Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa, the 28-year-old claimed that Jessica had been sitting on the vital info for weeks, but didn’t want to tell Bronte until they were in front of the cameras.

“She knew the dates of the wedding. She knew for weeks,” Bronte said, explaining to the radio hosts why they had an IRL falling out.

She continued: “The fact is that I was on FaceTime with her the night before the wedding. She had every chance to tell me.”

Leaked footage reveals Married at First Sight’s PR team controls EVERYTHING the cast can say in interviews

Take everything Bronte said with a grain of salt, however!

As the interview finished, radio hosts Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli exposed the MAFS PR team for controlling what Bronte was allowed to say.

Sitting beside the TV bride, a Nine publicist controlled her answers with thumbs-up signs and other hand gestures.

During the interview, Wippa asked: “‘Are you angry with yourself that you slept with Harrison?”

Bronte laughed nervously and turned to her minder, who was shaking her head. She was then able to reply, “no”.

But after Wippa noticed the movements, he called it out on air.

“You don’t have to look at the publicist, who is shaking her head. Just watching your publicist give thumbs-up to your answers is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen,” he said.

The hosts reminded Bronte that she was an adult and could give her own answers. Yikes!

Bronte Schofield’s sister and bridesmaid suspect Jessica Tomlinson lied about Harrison Boon’s wedding date

But luckily, bridesmaid Lauren and Bronte’s sister Kirra were able to go rogue. They revealed to So Dramatic! host Megan Pustetto that only one MAFS wedding was filmed at a time and occurred on different days.

“We all got the invite saying the date of Bronte’s wedding and she also knew the date of Harrison’s wedding through Abby,” bridesmaid Lauren said.

Lauren asked Jessica when they were being taken to the venue whether the guy who was dating Abby Miller also had his wedding that day.

“She said to me, ‘no, babe. I spoke to Abby and she told me that Harrison’s wedding is next Friday’. So she 100 per cent lied to me,” Lauren said.

The bridesmaids also believed Jessica was in cahoots with Married at First Sight’s producers, as she was the only guest who was allowed to use her phone on-set.

Kirra suggested that Jess only did it in front of the camera because she was notoriously “fame-hungry”.

The protective duo added that there were “several hours” during the wedding shoot where the guests and bridal party didn’t have microphones, which they believe would have been the right time for Jessica to approach Bronte or her family.
