Married At First Sight Australia 2023’s Dan Hunjas has responded to claims he had four secret girlfriends during filming whilst he was married to Sandy Jawanda.
As revealed in episode 262 and episode 263 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the 42-year-old businessman was allegedly seeing four women right up until he went on the show and continued dating a number of them during and after filming.
However, the father-of-one has denied the allegations, telling So Dramatic! in a statement that it’s “completely false.”
“There’s no doubt I expressed myself in ways I regret on the show. But at no point was I romantically involved with anyone else, nor did I cheat on anyone,” he stated.
*Alleged* Girlfriend #1: Danni Suriano
He went on to confirm that he dated Danni Suriano in 2021 but says they “never ever got back together after that breakup.”
“We reconnected as friends and I was so careful on making sure those boundaries were in place for us,” he claimed. “We became close friends with no romantic involvement at all.”
However, the Gold Coast resident went on to confirm the was in touch with Danni during filming but “that’s as far as it went.”
“She was a sounding board for me during the show at some points,” he confessed. “There was no suggestion of ever crossing the line. It’s all made up.”
Dan then claimed that Danni was “dating someone else” whilst he was filming MAFS. But in a weird twist, he admitted to sleeping with her in January after he finished filming.
“We had one slip-up early this year where we were both single and we slept together after a big night out,” he said. “It was regrettable.”
According to Dan, he and Danni “spoke about it the next day” and mutually decided not to do it again.
*Alleged* Girlfriend #2: Samantha Symes
So Dramatic! previously also published claims that Dan had cheated on Danni with his current girlfriend Samantha Symes.
However, the reality star also denied this saying he started dating her “after all of this.”
“There was no cheating or crossover. I have never ever been romantically or intimately involved with Sam previously,” he expressed.
*Alleged* Girlfriend #3: Tallara
There were also claims Dan was messaging a fourth woman named Tallara during his MAFS honeymoon. However, he claims things ended between them before he started filming.
“Tallara is an ex-girlfriend. We broke up amicably. I dropped her off at the airport where she moved to Perth over a year ago,” he explained.
“We have not seen each other since, nor do we really talk. We’ve both moved on.”
*Alleged* Girlfriend #4: Paris Lily
In regards to Paris Lily, who Dan was regularly spending time with during filming, Dan said they are just friends and work together.
“We caught up in person with her business partner all together during reunion filming,” he stated.
There have been a number of paparazzi photos published of Dan and Paris hanging out together one-on-one whilst he was in the experiment. One set of photos shows them hanging out at the beach together.
Sandy found out about Dan’s “secret girlfriends” and confronted him at the Reunion
According to our insiders, Sandy found out about Dan’s secret girlfriends and confronted him about it during the Reunion.
“After filming, Sandy was bombarding him with texts saying that she knows he was with Paris intimately during filming,” they explained.
“At the Reunion dinner, Sandy confronts him and he gets called out by everyone.
“Sandy and Dan were at each other big time, it’s a huge drama at the Reunion.”
Sandy also reached out to Danni after filming the Reunion.
“After the show ended, Sandy got tipped off about Danni and got in contact with her,” they explained. “She called her asking for answers and closure and vented to her about everything.
“Danni apologised for everything that she went through on the show and her part in it.”
