Married at First Sight Australia 2023 fans praised Sandy Jawanda for supporting her friend Claire Nomarhas after she admitted to cheating on Jesse Burford.

During the February 26 episode, the 36-year-old dental hygenist defended Claire as Alyssa Barmonde and Melinda Willishypocritically” grilled the controversial bride.

They claimed that Claire needed to be held just as “accountable” as Adam Seed for hurting and “gaslighting” Jesse and Janelle Han.

But Sandy argued that Claire held herself accountable by being remorseful and deciding to admit to the infidelity, which was a lot more than Adam was capable of.

“She’s been accountable by apologising and saying ‘I’ve done the wrong thing’ and coming forward,” Sandy said.

They added: “That is holding yourself accountable. I don’t what else she can do right now.”

Married at First Sight fans praised Sandy for standing up for her friend while also acknowledging that Claire had done the wrong thing.

Sandy was also the first person that Claire confided in about the cheating scandal. However, leaked text messages have revealed that Sandy actually witnessed the kiss firsthand.

Married at First Sight fans’ hearts break for Jesse Burford as he’s forced to stay with Claire Nomarhas

MAFS fans were devastated to hear Jesse had been questioning whether he was “worthy of love” after finding out about Claire’s kiss with Adam.

Speaking to the “experts” at the Commitment Ceremony, Jesse explained that he had never been in a “good relationship” and had been single for seven years.

“You just question whether you’re worthy of love,” he sobbed.

He added: “One thing I don’t like about this experiment is people sitting on the couch and just getting drilled. I don’t like adding to Claire’s… despair.”

Revealing that he wrote ‘leave’, Jesse explained: “I can provide Claire with my forgiveness, my understanding and my friendship. I can do all those things while still doing the right thing by myself.”

However, Claire wrote ‘stay’. Despite Jesse’s “compassion” throughout the situation, John Aiken didn’t offer Jesse the same choice to leave as he did for Josh White and Caitlin McConville.

Many fans felt that Jesse was clearly emotionally traumatised by the experience and should have been allowed to exit.
