Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Harrison Boon attempted to cry as he opened up about Bronte Schofield‘s ongoing battle with endometriosis and fans were calling BS.

During the February 26 episode, fans accused the serial gaslighter of faking his emotional response (because, duh) as he explained his TV wife’s “extremely debilitating” condition.

Bronte had been unable to attend the Commitment Ceremony because she was in too much pain from the (as Harrison calls it) “endo-doe-metriosis” during her “time of the month”.

Harrison’s little display of “emotion” both disgusted and amused viewers, especially those who have personally experienced endometriosis.

Some even joked that their condition had been “cured” in the hopes of NEVER hearing blokes like Harrison speaking on their behalf again.

It comes after the So Dramatic! podcast revealed Harrison claimed Bronte was using her endometriosis and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) as “an excuse to be a b*tch”.

So, yeah, we’re not falling for that little display either, Haz…

A production insider revealed the Commitment Ceremony was one of several shoots that Bronte wasn’t able to attend because she had been “crippled for days” from the pain and “couldn’t move”.

They addressed the father-of-one’s Logie-award nominated performance (let’s be real, he wouldn’t win), explaining that nobody believed that he was genuinely upset and suggesting he was using the situation to his advantage.

“While she’s away, he uses it as an opportunity to gain sympathy from the experts and fake cries about how worried he is about Bronte. He tells everyone that he hates seeing her in pain,” the source said.

But thankfully, they added that “no one was falling for his fake tears“.

Expert John Aiken even called Harrison out for being “insincere”, which the insider described as “pretty funny” to everybody on set. This godforsaken show is just too good sometimes…

Married at First Sight 2023’s Harrison Boon couldn’t “cope” with Bronte Schofield’s Endometriosis and PMDD symptoms

The source revealed that Harrison couldn’t “cope” with Bronte’s PMDD symptoms, which can include “mood swings, severe irritability, depression and/or anxiety in the week or two before your period starts”.

“Bronte’s Endo and PMDD got quite heightened throughout the show. She was in a lot of pain and crying a lot from it,” one insider said.

They added: “PMDD is like PMS on steroids and it made Bronte so emotional that she would just break down in tears at the drop of a hat.”

However, Harrison claimed during a fight that she was using the fact that she is “a woman” to her advantage.

Bronte had started crying in frustration after begging her TV husband to “listen” to her and not “ignore” her point of view amid a “huge fight”. Sounds familiar!

While that seems like a reasonable request of your spouse, Bronte ended up being the one to apologise, telling Harrison that she was “hormonal”.

“Harrison then said to her, ‘you can’t blame the fact that you’re a woman on the fact that you’re being a b*tch’,” the insider alleged.

It’s unclear whether Harrison was aware of Bronte’s medical issues at the time. But regardless, that kind of BS is not on. As Melinda Willis says, “for the bin” with him!
