The Bachelor Australia alum Abbie Chatfield has slammed Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Bronte Schofield for “plotting” to start drama after her voice memos about Harrison Boon were leaked.

On her Hot Nights with Abbie radio show, the 27-year-old Masked Singer judge called out the newly minted reality star for spinning a “very complicated web”.

“Well, my initial reaction was ‘ew’ to these voice notes,” Abbie said.

She continued: “I don’t like a premeditated storyline because people accused me of that and nothing I do is premeditated. I’m very chaotic, we all know this.”

While Abbie admitted that Bronte and Harrison were “making good TV”, she thought there would be better ways to approach the “secret girlfriend” situation.

“A better storyline would be you rocking up and at the altar going, ‘So are you still dating that girl?’ And then you’re honest rather than pre-planning a conversation off-camera,” Abbie claimed.

Abbie Chatfield thinks Married at First Sight’s Bronte Schofield shouldn’t have plotted against Harrison Boon

Abbie claimed that if she experienced a similar situation on Bachie, she would have given her partner the benefit of the doubt.

“Wouldn’t you just be like, ‘Oh he’s probably just seeing someone casually and I’ll ask him when he’s there if he’s my match’, rather than plotting this?” Abbie asked.

She added: “But then I think also it makes good TV and at the end of the day, they’re there to make good TV. I don’t know.”

Abbie’s statements come despite widespread concerns that Harrison was “gaslighting” his TV bride and being “emotionally abusive“.

It is interesting to note that Bronte and Abbie shared an ex – Bachelorette star Todd King.
