Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Harrison Boon has been calling his co-star Alyssa Barmonde to check on her mental health.

The mother-of-one copped a “villain” edit after mistreating her on-screen husband Duncan James and using her child as an excuse for her poor behaviour. As a result, she’s received major backlash from fans which saw her lose the executive assistant role she’s held for the past seven years.

However, the 35-year-old has revealed that the ‘builder‘ has been surprisingly supportive during her tough time. Now that’s not the Harrison we all know and hate!

When asked by Heatworld which co-stars she’s still in contact with, the former bride revealed that the 32-year-old has been checking in on her “every week.”

“Harrison surprisingly rings me every week or so to do a mental health check on me which is very nice,” Alyssa confessed.

She also mentioned that she’s still in touch with Josh White, Tahnee Cook, Ollie Skelton, Bronte Schofield and Lyndall Grace.

We definitely know she’s not in touch with the cyber security salesman anymore, as she’s been ghosting him since he hard launched his new relo with Evelyn Ellis.

Alyssa Barmonde flees Australia following her ‘villain’ edit on Married at First Sight

This comes after Alyssa fled to Hawaii after losing her job due to receiving a “villain edit” on the marriage experiment.

On May 8, Alyssa posted a photo on Instagram where she appeared to be getting ready for a night out with two of her friends.

She made fun of herself in the caption, as she wrote: “Aloha #fledtohawaii #everyotherweekend.”

She also shared another post captioned “breakfast”, as she sipped on a cocktail.

Where was this side of Alyssa on the show? She’s just gained another fan.

Alyssa Barmonde slams producers for protecting the show over her

In an attempt to challenge her edit, Alyssa asked Channel Nine‘s publicity department to give her access to her Instagram account whilst the show was still airing. However, they denied her request until the show had finished in the UK.

“They’re protecting the show and the narrative they’ve created, rather than letting me have my own voice,” she stated.

Alyssa felt betrayed by producers for making it seem like being a single parent was the reason her relationship didn’t work out. She then revealed that viewers tracked down her number and sent her “vile messages” adding to her emotional turmoil.

As a result of the show, Alyssa has been working on her mental health. According to reports by Confidential, she’s been seeing a therapist three times a week and has “upped” the dosage of her anxiety medication.
