Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Duncan James continues to fuel rumours he’s dating Evelyn Ellis after the groom was pictured snuggling up to her dog.
The co-stars have denied they are romanticly involved about a million times thus far but fans have called BS on that after they were spotted kissing in public earlier this month.
Just a few days later and a photo of Duncan with a pet pooch has become a key piece of evidence in deciphering whether he’s dating the 26-year-old marketing manager.

The 36-year-old cyber-security salesman shared some happy snaps on Instagram and in one of them, he’s crouching down to pat a puppy’s head. Cute!
“Forced to take these…’ he captioned the post, quite possibly referring to when Evelyn directed a “sexy photoshoot” for Duncan’s wife Alyssa Barmonde during MAFS.
Only the back of the dog’s head can be seen in the pic. Which begs the question: why didn’t the person behind the camera wait until the pooch turned around?
We reckon it’s because fans would know straight away the dog in question was one of Evelyn‘s dachshunds. And the pair aren’t ready to hard launch their relationship yet, hence the partial photo of the dog.
There’s no denying the dog looks like either Mustard or Pickles. It’s the right colour, and texture and the same ears. We see you, doggo!

On April 3, Evelyn confessed she was “just friends” with Duncan before admitting she wasn’t ruling anything out.
But it sounds like the “friends” statement was trying to throw fans off the scent.
As revealed in episode 279 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Duncan and Evelyn were spotted on multiple dates in Sydney over the April 14 – 16 weekend.
“They were all over each other,” a source dished after spotting them looking very comfortable with one another.
A second source also spotted the pair having a cheeky pash at a pub.
“They were there with her dogs, then left and walked into the park across the road, he had his arms around her and then they held hands. It was so cute.”
