Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Evelyn Ellis has revealed the truth about her relationship with co-star Duncan James.
On April 3, the influencer sadly revealed that the pair are “just friends”.
“It was nice to go out and have some fun,” she spilled before the 26-year-old said she wasn’t ruling out a future relationship, sharing that the pair “haven’t explored any connection” yet.
This comes after the marketing manager and the 36-year-old were spotted getting handsy on the dance floor at a Sydney nightclub.
A steamy video taken at the club shows the cyber security salesman lifting Evelyn in his arms before grabbing her ass. The clip also showed Evelyn straddling a shirtless Duncan. And quite frankly, the whole thing was a little NSFW!

We’re a bit confused by Evelyn’s claims that she’s “just friends” with Duncan, as one MAFS contestant told So Dramatic! that the pair were officially an item.
As revealed in episode 272 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the pair both recently asked the model’s on-screen husband Rupert Budgen for his “blessing” for their relationship.
“Rupert has confirmed to a number of cast members that Evelyn and Duncan are now dating,” the contestant spilled.
“He said they both contacted him separately and asked him if they could have his blessing to progress to a romantic relationship.”
However, despite Rupert getting a heads-up about their new relo, Duncan’s ex Alyssa Barmonde was not afforded the same grace. Ouch!
The recoupling comes after rumours first began swirling that the pair were romantically linked after they were spotted looking cosy at Evelyn’s viewing party in late February.
The pair also shacked up together during MAFS‘ newly introduced Couple Swap exercise.
“Duncan had the best time with Evelyn. The fun part of him came out again,” a source told New Idea.
“He wondered what it would have been like if they were matched together from the start. He is definitely attracted to her.”
