Married at First Sight Australia 2023 cast features some inked-up hotties, and we’ve uncovered the real meanings behind their impressive collection of tattoos.
From the tiny eagle on Duncan James’ bicep to the huge artwork on Evelyn Ellis’ thigh, we’ve got you covered – quite literally.
Jesse Burford
Jesse Burford is the most inked-up groom on MAFS 2023 by far and has around 35 to 40 tattoos all over his body.
The 30-year-old has a number of album artworks on his body from his favourite heavy metal bands. For example, he has a heart hanging from a noose which is Bert McCracken’s metal band The Used’s ‘Imaginary Enemy’ album cover.
He also has a giant lion on his chest, a jellyfish and a wolf crying out to the moon which are all references to albums.
A source close to Jesse revealed to So Dramatic! that he also has a joke tattoo on his butt which he got during a drunken night out.
“The tattoo reads ‘YOLO’ meaning ‘you only live once’ and the first ‘o’ is on his asshole,” they dished. LOL!
Claire Nomarhas
Claire Nomarhas is the most tatted bride on MAFS 2023 by far. She has a total of 23 tattoos, and most of them are on her arm.
The 31-year-old‘s tattoos all have different meanings. Her most recent ink is the Shania Twain lyric: ‘Let’s go girls!’
The kindergarten assistant also has a 1974 HQ Kingswood car on her arm, which is sentimental as it’s the first car her uncle owned.
Duncan James
You may not have noticed it, but Duncan James sports a tiny eagle tattoo on his left bicep.
And the meaning behind this tattoo is quite interesting.
A source close to the 36-year-old groom revealed to So Dramatic! that he got the eagle tattoo to cover up an ex-partner’s name.
It’s his first and only tattoo and there is no true meaning behind the band-aid tattoo.
Even though his tattoo is discreet, we know you eagle-eyed viewers would’ve sneaked a peak because let’s face it, who wouldn’t be staring at this babe?
Sandy Jawanda
Sandy Jawanda has a total of four tattoos on her body.
The Indian beauty has a Khanda, a Sikh religious symbol, on her neck. In Indian culture, a Khanda is known as a ‘warrior symbol.’
The bride also has the letter ‘S’ on her hip but a source close to Sandy tells So Dramatic! it has no real meaning.
Sandy also has a little ‘O’ with an umlaut on the inside of her wrist, which sources say is in memory of her dog who passed away two years ago.
The dental hygienist also has a small ‘X’ tattoo on her wrist, which is the Roman numeral for ten.”
So Dramatic! can reveal that a number of Season 10 brides got the same tattoo to symbolise their time on MAFS 2023. Talk about being bonded for life!
Caitlin McConville
Caitlin McConville has a total of ten tattoos including a collection of butterflies on the side of her hand.
The makeup artist also has the quote: ‘My heart is not a home for cowards’ on her ribs.
Caitlin has another tattoo on her leg that says, ‘Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the courage to know the difference’.
As well as some ink on the back of her neck that reads: ‘You’re so much more.’
Bronte Schofield
Bronte Schofield has a small collection of tattoos including a small elephant on her wrist which she got after a car accident.
A source close to the 28-year-old bride revealed that the animal artwork has two meanings to her: “family” and “safe travels.”
“Elephants are their family animal, her and her mum are both obsessed with them,” the insider revealed. “Everywhere she goes her mum knows she’s safe and her family are with her.”
In Indian culture, an elephant with its trunk up also means “good luck.”
The beauty educator also has “to the moon and back” on her ribs, “love yourself first” on the back of her neck, and a red scorpion on her back to represent her zodiac sign, Scorpio.
Janelle Han
Influencer Janelle Han only has one tattoo, two tiny triangles on her wrist.
However, sources close to the 28-year-old bride tell So Dramatic! that it has no meaning and she did it to rebel against her mum. Iconic!
Cameron Woods
Cameron Woods has two tattoos – a bear artwork covering his right bicep and another tattoo on his back.
Evelyn Ellis
MAFS 2023 intruder Evelyn Ellis has a few tattoos, but the one that’s the most noticeable is the rose on her right thigh.
Sources tell So Dramatic! that there is no real meaning to it, she “just liked it.”
Adam Seed
Adam Seed has tattoos all over his body including a Thai artwork on his back.
