Janelle Han has opened up about suffering from lupus and its impact on her dating life in her Married at First Sight Australia 2023 audition tape.
The 28-year-old beauty influencer revealed that the disease flares up when she’s “under a lot of stress”, and has many long-term complications when it comes to her love life.
“In terms of long-term, it means that I do feel rushed to have a family, to have kids as soon as I possibly can,” she confessed.
“I date for marriage, I don’t date casually. Like I would not spend a second with someone unless I saw something long-term and my parents would like them”.
Now it makes a lot of sense why Janelle signed up for the marriage experiment!
Janelle has been at the centre of all the chaos this season thanks to her cheating on-screen husband Adam Seed, and NGL it seems like the producers stitched her up big time here!
What does Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Janelle look for in a partner?
When it comes to her ideal man, the Perth beauty revealed she cares more about personality and intellect.
“Everyone that I’ve dated before was physically my type,” she explained. “But when I got to know them, it wasn’t good enough to my standards.
“I can’t date someone who can’t hold an intelligent conversation. If they’re stupid and I’m sitting there like ‘did they really just f*cking say that?’ Ick straightaway!”
We’re with you on that one, babe! Thank god the producers found her a super-intelligent husband… NOT!
Another thing her partner must have is approval from her family.
“If my family doesn’t like my future partner, it doesn’t matter how much I love them, my feelings will switch off,” she admitted.
No wonder Janelle was seeking the opinions of her bad-ass brothers at her wedding! Their judgment was spot on.
After being a victim of this season’s cheating scandal, we’re glad Janelle has finally left the marriage experiment because she definitely deserves better!
