Married at First Sight Australia 2023 intruder Evelyn Ellis may have only just made her debut on the show, but her connection to influencer Andrew Tate is already ruffling a few feathers.
As her new castmates watched on, the 26-year-old model walked down the aisle to a nervous AF Rupert Budgen during the February 20 episode.
However, her awkward new hubby may be the least of her worries now that she’s been linked to the controversial TikTok star. Sooo, who had this on their 2023 bingo card?!

ICYMI: The 36-year-old and his brother, Tristan, are currently being held in preventative custody in Romania. It comes as authorities investigate allegations of human trafficking and rape — both of which the siblings deny.
Andrew is also infamously known for his misogynistic views and concerning influence he has over men via social media.
But what does any of this have to do with MAFS‘ newly minted bride, Evelyn?

As some fans may know, MAFS isn’t Evelyn’s first reality TV stint, having appeared on Big Brother UK several years ago.
However, it wasn’t until a Reddit user unearthed a snap of the Sydneysider with Andrew that we were reminded that the pair shared the screen on the British reality series in 2016.
“Intruder Evelyn was on Big Brother UK and is connected to Andrew Tate,” they penned alongside the photo.
The pic was tagged to be taken in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Yep — Andrew’s rise to fame started on Big Brother and only helped him grow his platform as both an established Mixed Martial Artist and… whatever TF he calls himself these days.
Andrew Tate was removed from the Big Brother UK house after rape allegations surfaced
While Evelyn finished Big Brother UK in fifth place, Andrew wasn’t permitted to stick out the competition.
He was removed from the world-renowned series due to a sexual assault and physical abuse investigation.
According to VICE, the showrunners were informed by police of the ongoing investigation when Andrew appeared on the series.
Still, he remained in the house for five more days until he was booted.
Channel 5 showrunners stated his exit was prompted by “information which came to light”.
VICE reported that two women had alleged rape and physical assault by Andrew in 2015.
However, the Crown Prosecution Services (CPS) — whose job involves assessing whether a suspect has a realistic prosecution outcome — declined to bring action against Andrew.
It’s unknown when the photo of Andrew and Evelyn was taken or posted, as his Instagram page has since been nuked.
