There’s a YUGE celebrity twist on Married at First Sight Australia 2023, which could make the tenth season the best yet!
So far, we’ve met 23 brides and grooms who will be taking on the experiment, and if our MAFS maths is right, there’s soon to be (at least) one more!
If you’ve already scoured the full list, you’ve probably realised that not only is this the hottest cast yet, but the majority of them come with a f*ck-ton of social media followers!
While the show is known to cast a few “actors” (and we use that term verrrrry loosely), this year, the producers have opted for people with a large following and some past TV experience.
According to a show source who spoke to Yahoo! Lifestyle, the decision was a “strategic” one.
“This year’s cast has almost one million followers between them, and some are already classed as celebrities in certain circles,” the insider dished.
“Producers are hoping this will equate to record-breaking ratings and attract more younger viewers than ever before.”
Which Married at First Sight Australia 2023 Contestants Are Already Stars In Their Own Right?
With the biggest following of 2023’s participants, TikTok sensation Janelle Han is sure to draw more than a few fans.
The 28-year-old has amassed over 507,000 followers on the video-sharing app and has garnered over 19 MILLION likes.
Over on the ‘gram, Janelle also has over 37,000 loyal fans; however, she’s not the only bride to have a yuge following online.
Brisbane-based entrepreneur Melinda Willis has a combined following of over 169,000 across both Instagram and TikTok.
Meanwhile, Big Brother UK 2016 star Evelyn Ellis also brings a legion of cronies, with 65,000 following her Instagram page.
As for the grooms, model and micro-influencer Adam Seed has over 12K on Insta and TikTok combined.
So, with follower counts like these, we can expect Married at First Sight Australia 2023 to have the best ratings yet… right?!
