The cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia 2023 has entered the jungle to battle it out for the coveted crown and win the grand $100,000 prize for their nominated charities.

That’s right, the 13 contestants don’t rough it out eating bugs to keep starvation at bay for themselves.

2022 I’m A Celebrity winner, Dylan Lewis donated his $100k prize money to Lifeline. While 2021’s winner Abbie Chatfield gave her $100k prize money to Dementia Australia.

Former Bachelor Nick Cummins is playing for the Kimberley Spirit Foundation, a charity that provides Indigenous communities with food and support to increase their quality of life.

Nathan Henry – Australian Breast Cancer Research

Geordie Shore‘s Nathan Henry is playing for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) in honour of his aunty who is battling breast cancer.

“My whole life, she’s been one of my aunties who’s always encouraged me to be me … I just wanted to do this to pay her back,” Nathan told his campmates.

As Australia’s leading national body, the money would go towards funding life-changing breast cancer research.

Kerri-Anne Kennerley – SpinalCure Australia

Kerri-Anne Kennerley became a supporter of SpinalCure after her beloved late husband John Kennerley was paralysed after a tragic fall from a balcony that resulted in fractures to his C3 and C4 vertebrae.

“Anybody who has been in that position of watching a person they love almost disintegrate, not being able to push a button, work a remote, feed themselves, dress themselves, knows that it’s 24/7 care,” the TV legend told Sunrise last year.

“It’s shocking, it’s terrible, but people live through it.”

SpinalCure Australia was founded 25 years ago with the sole aim of finding a cure for spinal cord injury through the promotion and funding of medical research.

Aesha Scott – Cancer Council

The Below Deck stew admitted she’s never seen an episode of I’m A Celebrity Australia but that won’t stop Aesha Scott from giving it her all, especially for charity.

The 29-year-old is playing for Cancer Council, a nonprofit organisation working towards reducing cancer cases and the impact of cancer.

The organisation is particularly close to her heart. She lost her brother to cancer when he was just 23 years old.

“My beautiful 23-year-old brother Reuben… we found out that he had two golf ball-sized tumours in his brain,” she explained.

“They were so deep that it was much too risky to operate.

“He was in a really, really exciting place in his life, and it just breaks my heart. I just want to make sure I can do everything I can to help all of the future Reubens.”

Anna Polyviou – Dress For Success

Masterchef guest judge Anna Polyviou is competing on I’m A Celebrity for Dress For Success, a charity that provides professional attire and development tools for women to achieve economic independence.

During her time in the jungle, she revealed she chose her charity after the stress of running her own business had left her feeling suicidal

“I never asked for help, and I should have,” she revealed. “I feel like I have a second chance. It’s OK to ask for help.”

Peter Helliar – Legacy

Former The Project host Peter Helliar is another familiar face on I’m A Celebrity testing his boundaries for charity.

If the comedian wins, he’ll be donating the prize money to Legacy, a charity that supports more than 40,000 partners and children of veterans who gave their lives or health serving our country.

Harry Garside – Reach

Olympic boxer Harry Garside is competing for Reach.

The charity helps young people uncover what’s holding them back and gives them tools to set goals and deal with life’s challenges.

Liz Ellis – Share The Dignity

Netball legend and former Sydney Swifts captain Liz Ellis‘ charity is Share The Dignity.

The organisation aims to end period poverty by distributing sanitary items to women and girls experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence or doing it tough.

Speaking about her decision to support the charity, Liz said she was deeply effected when she heard women and girls were “cutting up pads” to make them go further, and knew she wanted to help.

Ian “Dicko” Dickson – Australian Children’s Music Foundation

Former Australian Idol judge Ian “Dicko” Dickson has spent his career working across all aspects of the music industry so it comes as no surprise that his charity is the Australian Children’s Music Foundation.

The former record label executive’s winnings will go towards music education classes and supplying instruments to disadvantaged children and youth across the country.

Domenica Calarco – Leukaemia Foundation

Married at First Sight Australia 2022’s Domenica Calarco will gift her prize money to the Leukaemia Foundation, a national charity dedicated to assisting those with blood disorders to survive and live a better quality of life.

The reality star sadly lost her uncle to a rare form of blood cancer five years ago.

Debra Lawrance – Ovarian Cancer Australia

Logie-winning actor Debra Lawrance‘s charity is Ovarian Cancer Australia.

If she is crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity, the prize money will go towards funding national ovarian cancer research.

The 66-year-old revealed the lost a close friend to ovarian cancer seven years ago.

“I went to see her before she died, and as I left her, knowing that I’d never see her again, all I could say was ‘See you later, alligator,’” she said told her campmates.

“And then I drove away. To say goodbye to a friend is one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do.”

Bianca Hunt – Indigenous Literacy Foundation

TV presenter and proud Kamilaroi, Barkindji, Ballardong and Whadjuk woman, Bianca Hunt is playing for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

The charity provides books and other learning and education tools for remote First Nations communities.

“My family have a history in education and supporting each other through that path. ILF have done an amazing job so far and I can’t wait to support them through this too,” Bianca said.

Adam Cooney – The Cerebral Palsy Alliance

Retired AFL star and Brownlow medallist is playing for a charity very close to his heart.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph before entering the jungle the 37-year-old revealed he would donate his I’m A Celebrity winnings to The Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

“My daughter Ash has cerebral palsy so I chose The Cerebral Palsy Alliance. They provide support for people with CP and for their families,” he told the outlet.

Woody Whitelaw – Dementia Australia

Woody Whitelaw of KIIS FM’s Will & Woody radio show was the first I’m A Celebrity contestant to be announced.

He’s leaving behind his partner and six-month-old baby, Remi in the hopes of winning $100,000 for Dementia Australia.

All four of his grandparents have been affected by the neurological disease.
