Hosts Dr Chris Brown And Julia Morris are back at the helm of I’m A Celebrity Australia season nine

Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris have been hosting the Aussie version of I’m A Celebrity since it aired in 2015 and the duo will reunite once again – albeit for the last time.

Chris recently announced his departure from Network Ten, moving across to Channel Seven, so this will sadly be his last season hosting I’m a Celebrity.

Dr Chris first graced our screens on Harry’s Practice before he was given his own show, Bondi Vet.

It was axed in 2016 but he moved onto co-hosting The Living Room alongside Amanda KellerBarry Du Bois and Miguel Maestre, who was crowned King of the Jungle in season six.

It’s unclear what shows he’ll now be working on at Seven.

When it comes to Julia, she’s been working as a comedian since she was a teenager, so expect a lot of jokes. And, of course, fabulous outfits.

Luckily, she’s not going anywhere, so it will be interesting to see who nabs the awesome gig of her co-host next year.

What do we know about the contestants heading to the jungle for I’m A Celebrity?

Australian Idol judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, MAFS star Domenica Calarco and veteran presenter Kerri-Anne Kennerley were the first confirmed names for the 2023 season.

The rest of the I’m A Celebrity cast is rounded out with chef Anna Polyviou, radio host Woody Whitelaw, TV presenter Bianca Hunt, actor Debra Lawrance and comedian Peter Helliar.

Reality star Aesha Scott from Below Deck and Geordie Shore‘s Nathan Henry have also made their jungle debut.

As has champion netballer Liz Ellis, Brownlow medalist Adam Cooney and boxer and Olympic medalist Harry Garside.

Where is I’m A Celebrity filmed?

Just like previous series, the 2023 iteration is being filmed in the Kruger National Park, Africa.

It’s one of Africa’s largest game reserves and is home to a slew of wild animals including the all-important Big 5. Lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos.

There are hundreds of smaller animals living in the diverse nature sanctuary, and some are more dangerous than others.

There are a whopping 54 species of snakes found in Kruger Park. Luckily just nine of those can kill you which is good to know when the reptile will certainly latch onto a contestant during a challenge.

What does the winning I’m A Celebrity contestant take home?

The celebrities go head-to-head in extreme challenges in order to win $100,000 in prize money for their nominated charity.

The 2022 winner, Dylan Lewis donated his $100k prize money to Lifeline.

2021 winner Abbie Chatfield gave her $100k prize money to Dementia Australia.

Can I’m A Celebrity contestants bring personal items with them to the jungle?

Well, they are celebrities…even if fans, and heck, some of the celebs haven’t heard of each other.

It’s previously been revealed the contestants do get a few basic hygiene items like dental floss, toothpaste, a toothbrush, moisturiser, shampoo, conditioner, a razor and a towel.

Apparently, they’re allowed six rolls of toilet paper each which are replenished as needed. Absolute luxury!
