Aussie TV legend and Logie Hall of Famer Kerri-Anne Kennerley has used her star power to negotiate special perks into her I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2023 contract.

Channel Ten has been trying to get the 69-year-old on the show since its Aussie debut in 2015 and Kerri-Anne finally agreed.

During the second episode on April 3, the TV icon joined her fellow celebrity cast members and was immediately put in a tank of snakes.

Kerri-Anne Kennerley got makeup written into her I’m A Celebrity contract so she can keep up appearances

So what would possibly make the Aussie icon with a career spanning four decades give up her mansion?

Presumably, a very enticing salary, which has not been disclosed. And makeup and beauty products – because a gal has to keep up appearances.

“Look, I’m not going in without makeup and my skincare. I wear 50+ sunscreen and I want a little blush or a little lippie. Nothing too over the top. I’m not going to go unnatural,” she told Woman’s Day.

Kerri-Anne should use her makeup goodies to bargain coz we think there are a few contestants who’d do anything for a bit of under-eye concealer.

What else is written into Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s I’m A Celebrity contract?

Don’t expect the veteran TV star to be scaling a mountain or jumping out of helicopters.

After not one but two recent knee replacements her surgeon requested she doesn’t do any activities that could potentially “muck up my operations”.

Kerri-Anne also has a metal plate in her collarbone after falling from a trapeze during a performance of Pippin in 2020.

Shane Warne was the first I’m A Celebrity contestant to be granted special privileges

Fans of the show would recall the late great Shane Warne managed to snag a few special privileges in his I’m A Celebrity contract back in 2016. That’s in addition to his eye-watering $2 million salary.

“There’s rules for Warnie and there’s rules for everyone else. No one else has ever got the privileges that Warnie got,” I’m A Celebrity host Dr Chris Brown said on KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren last month.

The cricketing legend was allowed “special Warnie time” – a ciggie break off-camera.

“He is the only one that has ever been able to have special Warnie time,” Chris added.

Special privileges aside, the first few episodes of season nine prove it’s still pretty tough in the jungle.

However, co-host Julia Morris revealed during that same radio chat that contestants can negotiate minor stipulations into their contracts.

“There was one contestant with a scar on their face and they used a tiny little bit of cover-up each morning just over that scar. So that was something that they had written in [to their contract],” she added.
