Alyssa Barmonde has come to the defence of fellow Married at First Sight villain Olivia Frazer after she received a wave of backlash for opening up about the trolling and hate she’s copped since the show.
On April 19, the 29-year-old OnlyFans star posted a snippet of her appearance on the Back to Reality podcast hosted by reality stars Taku Chimwaza and Al Perkins.

In the clip, the OnlyFans model opened up about how “a car full of women” pulled up outside her old house and started verbally abusing her due to her portrayal on MAFS.
People weren’t too moved by the video, with many leaving nasty comments about the former TV bride.
“This is just another attempt at trying to control the narrative,” one user commented, whilst another said that Olivia “brought [the hate upon] herself.”
However, in since-deleted comments, Alyssa quickly jumped to Olivia’s defence.

“I love everyone in the comment section thinking they know how reality TV producing and editing works,” she started.
“Until you live through it, you actually have no idea how much they can twist and manipulate reality to fit a storyline,” she said, stating that “reality TV is not reality”.
The 35-year-old went on to say that producers can easily “misconstrue” scenarios, telling fans to have more “compassion”.

“Don’t hide behind a keyboard and throw hate at someone you don’t know. Social media has become such a bully culture, and it’s so disgusting,” she added. YAAAAS! We love it when women support each other!
Fans clap back at Alyssa Barmonde for defending Olivia Frazer
Fans then quickly clapped back at the mother-of-one for defending Olivia, as they felt that both reality stars deserved their “villain” edits.
One user took to the comments section to express their views about producer manipulation.
“I have no doubt that situations can be manipulated…but [producers] can’t make words come out of your mouth that you didn’t say,” they replied.

They went on to express that they believed Olivia was “genuinely malicious”, before stating: “That’s not editing, it’s personality.” Ouch.
Alyssa, who clearly wasn’t having it, asked the user: “Why do you have the right to comment on what you’ve seen on TV and think you actually know [Olivia]?”
She then questioned why people “spread hate” about people they don’t know in real life.

It wasn’t long before things got personal as Alyssa asked the user how they would feel if their clients were bullied online.
“I can see you’re a speech pathologist – how would you feel if one of your clients came to you distraught and broken from the copious amounts of online bullying and hate they were receiving,” she asked.
However, many users shaded Alyssa even more for this comment with one stating: “Hang on, you were literally as bad [as Olivia]”. Another also questioned why they should respect Olivia. Savage!
An Instagram user tries to make fun of Alyssa
One Instagram user tried to make fun of Alyssa, using one of her iconic lines against her.
When Alyssa’s on-screen husband Duncan James was meeting her friends on MAFS, Alyssa told him that he could only see her on Wednesdays and “every other weekend” as she had a hectic schedule as a single mum.
In response to Alyssa’s comments, one user joked: “Last time I checked it wasn’t Wednesday or every other weekend so how do you possibly have the time to be commenting on here?” LOL!

However, like the sassy queen she is, Alyssa clapped back, “I’m unemployed“. LOL!
Alyssa states that Married at First Sight is heavily edited
In one final attempt to defend Olivia, Alyssa exposed MAFS producers for heavily editing the show.
“I think a lot of people don’t know HOW MUCH editing goes into reality TV. So much so that when you live it and rewatch it, it’s like two different realities.
“You start to question what really happened, and thank god that you wrote it all down in journals,” she continued.

Alyssa then stated that “[nobody’s] perfect” and bullying reality stars is never okay.
“Stalking, harassing and death threats are not a way of showing someone you think you know from a reality TV show what you ‘think’ of them.
“It’s pure, vile, hatred. And it has got to stop,” she added.
