I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2023 is about to hit our screens, and we’ve placed our bets on which stars have joined the cast and are headed to the jungle.

Returning for its ninth season, the series will premiere on Sunday, April 2 at 7.30 pm. Previously, the show has aired in January, but was bumped from its usual timeslot to make space for “The Bachelors” this year. However, beloved hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown will be returning to South Africa for another year.

But which famous faces will be brave enough to compete for the title of King or Queen of the jungle? According to the hints dropped so far, there will be a “famous footballer”, a “TV personality”, a “radio host”, a “reality star”, a “TV host”, an “AFL player,” a “UK reality star”, a female athlete and a member of “TV royalty” joining the cast.

Keep scrolling to find out which celebs we think will be heading into the wild this year for I’m A Celebrity Australia 2023.

TV personality

One hint is that a Below Deck star will be joining the cast of I’m A Celebrity Australia 2023.

“It will be all hands on deck when a TV personality goes from the high seas to the African jungle,” the trailer revealed.

This leads us to think that former Below Deck Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier will star in this season. The 36-year-old was also on Channel Ten’s show The Real Love Boat, so there’s a high chance that we’ll see her in the jungle.

However, the TV personality could also be Aesha Scott or Captain Jason Chambers from Below Deck Down Under.

A source tells So Dramatic! that Aesha has just travelled first class to a secret job that requires her to be quiet on socials. So perhaps we’ll see her in the jungle!

Radio host

According to another preview, “a radio host who loves to kiss and tell,” will be joining the African Jungle.

Given this clue, we think Jackie O Henderson will be the next celeb heading into the wild this season.

The 48-year-old co-hosts KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show with Kyle Sandilands – another star that we think may be entering the jungle.

“I’ve been asked back to back every year,” Kyle shared back in January 2022.

We wonder if he’s finally taken up the offer?

Or could it be Bachelor stars Brittany Hockley or Laura Byrne who host the successful dating and relationship podcast Life Uncut and also have their own KIISFM drive radio show now?

During their appearance on KIIS FM’s Will & Woody on March 20, hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown revealed the radio host that would be heading into the jungle.

“The celebrity going into the jungle, the radio host, is…ONE OF YOU TWO GUYS!” Chris announced.

He then explained that: “either Will McMahon or Woody Whitelaw is going into the African jungle.”

However, to decide who’s a better contender, the pair had to go face to face in a series of Jungle-related challenges on air.

Woody ended up winning the title of “King of the Jungle”, making him the first official contestant to be entering the jungle this year!

Reality star

The promo teases that a “reality star will get a fright at first sight.”

“No stranger to dinner parties, they have a lot of baggage on board. Or is it a lot of carry-on?”

We’re no Einstein, but it’s very clear the reality star will be a Married at First Sight Australia alum.

As revealed in episode 272 of the So Dramatic! podcast, there have been whispers that Domenica Calarco will be the reality star that’s joining the show.

However, some fans think it may be Jessika Power from the 2019 season.

Bryce Ruthven was supposed to appear on I’m A Celebrity Australia but was dropped at the last minute

Speaking of MAFS stars, it’s been reported that bad boy Bryce Ruthven was supposed to be joining I’m A Celebrity but was dropped at the eleventh hour, just as we speculated!

“Yes, you were right. [Bryce was meant to appear on] I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!,” one source dished to So Dramatic!.

“It’s starting filming any day now. Bryce was also right in that he was in talks with producers and he did get cast but Ten didn’t accept him as a contestant.” Ouch, that’s gotta hurt!

“The casting producers cast contestants but each person needs to be approved by the network they are making the show for.

“They thought there was enough hate-follow love for him and they would be keen on it, but they pretty much said f*ck no and that he’s not someone they want to represent their network,” the source added.

“So you won’t be seeing him on any Ten shows anytime soon from what I gather. Not for lack of trying though.”

And thank goodness! We’ve had enough of Bryce to last a lifetime!

TV Royalty

It’s also been teased that “TV royalty” is joining the cast of I’m A Celebrity Australia.

The promo video features a woman walking down a red carpet, so we know this will be a female contestant.

We think this might be Carrie Bickmore, who has co-hosted The Project for the past 13 years. However, Studio 10’s Angela Bishop may also be a potential cast member.

Outspoken TV host

According to the trailer, a “TV host, renowned for expressing their strong views, is likely to polarise their campmates.”

“Despite being known for their exceptional talent spotting, they might be rendered speechless while consuming fish eyes during a Tucker Trial!”

The “talent spotting” clue leads us to believe that this celeb will be a TV judge.

Perhaps it’s Dave Hughes, as he was a judge on The Masked Singer this year.

Or maybe it’s former Australian Idol host Ian Dickinson?

However, formerThe Voice Australia host Darren McMullen posted on his Instagram story saying “the cats out the bag,” and that he was in South Africa. So maybe he’s the TV host that’ll be entering the jungle?

AFL star

As revealed by the trailers, an AFL star will be “making his mark” on this season of I’m A Celebrity Australia.

Despite initial speculation, former rugby league player Sam Burgess has denied rumours that he’ll be joining the jungle this season.

As the star has been hinted to be “a bit of a flyer,” we have an inkling that this athlete will be former AFL player Adam Cooney.

Queen of the court

The promo teases that “a Queen of the court will be playing to win in the African Jungle.”

Whilst our first guess would be Ash Barty, we know the chances are slim as she’s currently pregnant.

As such, fans are saying it could be basketball stars Liz Cambage or Lauren Jackson – but we’ll just have to wait and see!

UK reality star

The trailer reveals that “drama will be a ‘shore thing'” when a “UK TV star lands in the African Jungle.”

From the play on words, it’s clear that this cast member will be a Geordie Shore star.

Charlotte Crosby has already been on the show, so fans are speculating that we may see Scott Timlin (Scotty T) or Marnie Simpson in the latest season.

We guess we’ll have to watch this space until April 2!
