An online betting site made a bit of a whoopsie during The Masked Singer Australia 2022‘s first week, accidentally revealing two of the secret wild card contestants before they were announced.
While the novelty betting page was taken down by Sportsbet on August 11, So Dramatic! managed to get an exclusive screenshot from August 10 — showcasing who the new masks would be.
According to the accidental leak, the two Masked Singer Australia wildcard masks will be Microphone and Gnome.
The Masked Singer Australia will introduce intruders to the singing competition in 2022 for the first time ever.
While they’ll still be a surprise for judges Mel “B” Brown, Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan and Dave “Hughesy” Hughes, the wild cards now won’t be a shock twist for fans.
The Masked Singer Australia’s Premiere Episode Offered Sneak Peaks of the Wild Card Masks
The Masked Singer Australia’s social media has yet to release promotional images of wild cards Gnome and Microphone, with fans baffled as to why they had only announced 10 of the masks before the premiere.
Historically, The Masked Singer Australia has had a roster of 12 masks from the start of the competition.
However, during the August 7 premiere, we spotted some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it clues.
In the introduction sequence, we’re shown the side of Microphone’s head and a panning shot of Gnome’s costume.
We certainly wouldn’t have realised what the masks were if we didn’t have these extra deets!
