Liam Cooper has revealed he’s been receiving death threats since accusing fellow Married at First Sight alum Domenica Calarco of bullying.

ICYMI: Last week, the 31-year-old groom shared a series of scathing Instagram Stories in which he recalled a run-in with Domenica at a Pride event in Sydney.

“When you attend a Pride event and you attend for queer teens and you’re there to support and uplift and all of that, you do not come to an event and you do not do high school bullying, you do not be a rude b*tch,” Liam expressed at the time.

Following his Instagram exposé, Liam did a tell-all interview with the So Dramatic! podcast, revealing what TF exactly went down for him to put Domenica on blast on the ‘gram.

Liam Cooper reveals he’s been receiving death threats from Domenica Calarco’s fans

Now, the MAFS star — who was also the show’s first openly bisexual groom — has taken to Instagram again to reveal that he’s been receiving death threats from Domenica’s fans after sharing his story.

“I don’t deserve to be told to kill myself,” he started off in the video.

“I don’t deserve to be told that Queen Dom is going to come for me, that she’s got the power to kill me. That you’re all going to kill me. That you’re going to come for my partner, come for my family and that I should watch my back and stay in my house.”

He continued: “Troll me all you want… But do not send death threats, do not threaten my partner and do not threaten my family.”

Liam went on to say that it was “middle-aged women” who were sending him the online abuse.

“What blows my mind is middle-aged women are doing this,” he revealed. “They’re trolling me and telling me that I’m a bully but then they’re telling me that I should kill myself or that they’re going to come and kill me.

“Middle-aged women are inboxing me telling me that I need to harden up, stop being a sook and grow a set of balls.”

The former TV groom then begged Domenica’s fans to leave him alone.

“Death threats are NEVER OK!! No one deserves to have death threats over a certain situation!” he wrote over the video. And we couldn’t agree more!

What REALLY happened between Married at First Sight stars Liam Cooper and Domenica Calarco?

Liam explained during episode 264 of the So Dramatic! podcast on March 2, that things took a turn once he and fellow alum Beth Moore decided to say hello to current bride Tahnee Cook.

“We did this weird introduction like… ‘We just want to say hello, wanting to know how you’re going and how your experience is because we’ve both been in that situation’,” he recalled.

“It was a great conversation… And next thing you know, Domenica comes and stands right next to her and then she just cuts in like, ‘Hi Tahnee, my name is Domenica’.”

According to Liam, the fan-fave bride “wedge[d] her way in”, so much so that he and Beth were forced out of the group.

“Then Domenica turns to us, looks us up and down and is like, ‘Hi, my name is Domenica’… then she just turns away,” he explained.

“She put her back to us and started talking to Tahnee again.”

For Liam, it was most frustrating that Domenica didn’t “give [them] a chance to introduce [them]selves”.

“She didn’t even give us the time of day.”

What’s more, is that after pretending not to recognise her fellow alumni, Domenica later addressed the duo, stating it was a “Married at First Sight reunion”.

“Me and Beth were just like, ‘Okay, so you do know who we are, but you’re pretending that you don’t’.”

Liam Cooper says the issue isn’t Domenica Calarco ignoring him

Taking to Instagram on March 3, Liam clarified that he wasn’t taking issue with Domenica ignoring him at the Pride event.

“I don’t care if Dom ignored me, I don’t care if anyone ignores me or if you don’t want to talk to me, that’s not what I care about,” he started.

“The reason what took me back, is I am such a focal person in regards to supporting the LGBTQIA+ Community, and the fact someone attend a PRIDE event, during such an important month where the event is all about inclusiveness and supporting queer teens, and act a certain way like this, and the way they do, that is something I do not stand for, and the reason why I called this behaviour out [sic].”

He then acknowledged that some people may not agree with his profanity after he called Domenica the “rudest c*nt” he’d ever met.

“So if this has offended anyone, my apologies,” he noted.

To conclude, Liam said he often feels like he doesn’t “fit in” and “[feels] out of place”. These feelings were only heightened for the TV groom by Domenica’s actions.

“So to attend a very public queer event for youth, during pride, a place [where] I feel safe, a place where I feel I can belong, was just ruined… Because of another individuals [sic] actions, which is just disheartening.”

Married at First Sight‘s Domenica Calarco addresses Liam Cooper’s claims of ‘bullying’

After Liam went public with his experience with Domenica, she took to her Sit With Us podcast Facebook group to address the claims.

“Hey beautiful people! I honestly have nothing to say to this,” she said. “These claims have hurt me so much today that I didn’t want to leave the house.

“I don’t want to give this any of my energy. I think that speaks enough for itself.”

She later provided a comment to PEDESTRIAN.TV, in which she revealed she was “shocked and dumbfounded” by Liam’s allegations.

Denying that she turned her back on Liam and Beth, Domenica apologised for any offence caused.

“I don’t know if he expects an apology from me but obviously I apologise if I made him feel a certain way, that was definitely not my intention. That was not how I saw the situation at all,” she explained.

Referring to Liam calling her the “rudest c*nt”, Domenica said she didn’t appreciate the comment.

“For him to make all these claims is reaching a little bit and it’s frustrating to me because it was actually a really brilliant night and what we should be focusing on is what the event was celebrating and raising funds for the LGBTQI+ community.

“I don’t f*cking need this drama in my life, I’m staying in my lane, I’m doing my thing.  Bitch, I don’t f*cking know you, I don’t want to know you and that’s fine. Just because we went on the same TV show, does not mean that we need to be friends.”

What did Married at First Sight‘s Liam Cooper say on Instagram about Domenica Calarco?

In his initial Insta post, Liam said Domenica’s behaviour wasn’t appropriate for an event celebrating the LGBTQI+ community.

“Queer kids go through enough and to attend an event like that and to act like a child and become a bully and bring other people down to where they feel like they’re not wanted there, that’s not OK,” he explained.

Liam then explained that he was sharing his story because he likes to call this sort of behaviour out.

“You need to be accountable for your actions, if you’re going to be a bully and be rude then I will call you out on it.”
