The Bachelor Australia saw a YUGE shake-up in 2023 with three Bachelors — Felix Von Hofe, Jed McIntosh and Thomas Malucelli — at the helm of the season.
However, despite triple the leads, triples the ladies and triple the chances of love being found, the season had a zero per cent success rate. Sigh.

However, despite the dismal results, previous seasons of The Bachelor Australia have actually been quite successful when it comes to ever-lasting love.
We won’t lie though, there have been some MAJOR casualties along the way…
So, with weddings, multiple babies, and some scandalous breakups — what have our fave (and not so fave) couples been up to since their seasons ended?
Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, 2013

Who could forget the original Bachelor couple, chiropractor/model/actor Tim Robards and his final pick, lawyer Anna Heinrich, falling in love in 2013?
It was a simpler time. A time when contestants were in it for love and not a blue tick.
Five years after their season wrapped, the genetically blessed couple tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Italy.
“I’m a very lucky man! I can’t believe I got to marry the most gorgeous human I know! What a journey… and it’s only just begun,” Tim gushed over his stunning bride at the time.

The loved-up couple then welcomed their first child together in November 2020 — a baby girl named Elle.

Tim and Anna gave us faith that true reality TV love does exist. That is, until this happened:
Blake Garvey and Sam Frost… and Louise Pillidge, 2014
During the 2014 season finale of The Bachelor, OG love rat Blake Garvey chose Sam Frost as his numero uno.
However, after realising they were on “different pages”, he broke up with the now-actress less than 24 hours after his proposal aired on the show.

Blake then went on to declare his love for the second-runner up, Louise Pillidge, and they began dating — cementing himself as the most hated man in Australia!
Surprisingly, the couple lasted eighteen months post-drama until they called it quits, partaking in the most cringe AF New Idea break-up photoshoot EVER.

Since then, Blake has since retreated from the public eye but is rumoured to be dating a woman called Tania Mondon. As for Louise, she’s currently single at the time of publication.
Sam, on the other hand, went on to be The Bachelorette before ending up with a radio show, going on Home and Away and finding love with Survivor Australia’s Jordie Hansen who she shares son Teddy with.

Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski, 2015
After the dumpster fire that was Blake, viewers were ready to believe in love again. And thankfully, we were blessed with Sam Wood and single mum, Snezana Markoski.
After Sam chose Snezana during the finale of his season — which, by the way, drew in 1.5 million viewers — they went on to become a franchise favourite and arguably one of the most successful couples the series has EVER seen.

After just a few months of dating, Sam popped the question before they welcomed their first child together, Willow Wendy Wood in October 2017. The following October, the couple married in Byron Bay.
Willow was in attendance as was Snezana’s oldest child from a previous relationship, Eve — who Sam now affectionately calls his own.
In July 2019, Sam and Snezana welcomed ANOTHER daughter, Charlie Lane Wood, before adding Harper Jones Wood to their family in May 2022.

To top it off, Sam sold his 28 by Sam business for a whopping $71 million and the couple now have a HUGE property portfolio to boot!
We absolutely ADORE this family!
Richie Strahan and Alex Nation, 2016
Richie Strahan fell in love with single mum Alex Nation during the third season of the show and we still have PTSD from the chocolate bath, TBH!

Richie — who was a rope technician at the time — promised Alex that he would not only look after her but also her son, Elijah, from a previous relo.
However, their relationship was not meant to be and the couple struggled to make things work long-distance, splitting a year after they first got together.

Following the high-profile relationship, Alex fell in love with her AFL teammate Meagan Luxa with the pair getting engaged briefly before calling it quits.
Then, during the second Bachelor in Paradise season, Alex and Richie were reunited on-screen — before having one of the most candid and lengthy conversations about abortion the country had ever seen on national television.

Unfortunately, they did not reignite their spark and Richie had a romance with Cass Wood (from Nick Cummins’ season). Meanwhile, Alex had a fling with conspiracy theorist and dog park enthusiast Bill Goldsmith from Ali Oetjen‘s season of The Bachelorette.
At the time of publication, Richie is reportedly dating Instagram model, Chiara Bransi, while Alex announced her engagement to boyfriend Carson Jory, one month after welcoming their first child together — Maxwell Keegan Jory — in 2021.

Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne, 2017
In 2016, Matty J Johnson’s heart was ripped in two by The Bachelorette’s Georgia Love, after she chose Lee Elliott to be her leading man.
After the season ended, fans rallied around Matty — ultimately, convincing Warner Bros to cast him as The Bachelor Australia 2017 – which is where he met his now-wife Laura Byrne.

Since meeting on the show, Laura and Matty’s relationship has gone from strength to strength.
In April 2019, the couple announced their engagement before welcoming their first child, Marlie-Mae two months later. Then, in February 2021, they added another daughter to their clan, with the birth of Lola Ellis. Before finally tying the knot in 2022.
As for their professional lives, both Matty J and Laura have both seen great success. Matty has become a TV presenter while Laura has a successful podcast, Life Uncut and a national radio show.
Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins and… No One, 2018
Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins really p*ssed people off with his decision to fly solo and not choose a winner after his stint as The Bachelor in 2018.
He made headlines around the country when he chose neither Brittany Hockley nor Sophie Tieman in the jaw-dropping Bachelor finale.

The rugby player even had to flee the country to escape the intense media scrutiny following the decision and hiked the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea.
Nick has since found love with Alexandra George and the pair welcomed their first child in 2023.
As for Sophie, she married beau Joseph Bolster in the heart of Sydney’s inner-west featuring drummers, white roses and plenty of McDonalds. That sounds right up our alley!

Brittany on the other hand is now dating Celtics soccer player Benjamin Siegrist after splitting from tennis star Jordan Thompson.
Matt Agnew and Chelsie McLeod, 2019
We had high hopes for 2019 Bachelor, astrophysicist Matt Agnew and his chosen one — chemical engineer, Chelsie McLeod.
However, after just six months of dating, the pair ended their relationship after it didn’t translate from on-screen to the real world.

Chelsie has since moved on with her model boyfriend, Ricki DeHaan.
Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska, 2020
Ahh, our pandemic Bachie, Locky Gilbert — while Zoom dates and a break in the filming caused controversy, Locky ended up with the woman of his dreams.
The Survivor and SAS Australia star chose Irena Srbinovska over runner-up Bella Varelis.

Since announcing “I love ya”, the couple has since travelled all around Australia, moved in together and even suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.
In 2023, the couple tied the knot in a surprise wedding attended by their fellow Bachelor co-stars.
Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston, 2021
Pilot Jimmy Nicholson and marketing manager Holly Kingston have been flaunting their love all over Instagram since Jimmy chose her in the 2021 season of The Bachelor.
