The Bachelor Australia 2020 winner Irena Srbinovska has opened up to her fans about having kids following her miscarriage, plus many more intimate details about her life with Locky Gilbert.

The couple previously told WHO that their lives have been a culmination of “amazing highs and devastating lows”. In July 2021, Irena and Locky revealed they’d suffered a miscarriage after only months of being together.
Now, Irena has said that despite the heartbreaking loss being “a very hard topic to talk about… we need to break the stigma and the pressure on women”.
“We had the miscarriage just after Christmas last year, so it’s been almost a year,” the 32-year-old revealed during an Instagram Q&A on Monday.
Irena said that she had been “sick for a while”, but put it down to stress as a result of her father being unwell and moving to Perth.
Unbeknownst to her, she was pregnant.
She then wrote that she had been in hospital twice as a result and it was a difficult time with “only Locky [to] support [her]”.
“He was my rock. He cared for me, looked after me and helped me through it.”
The Bachelor Australia darling then said that miscarriages are far more common than people realise, citing that one in five pregnancies end in loss.
“Women are amazing!” Irena expressed, adding: “And so too are our partners that also suffer the loss.”
Irena Srbinovska Confesses That She’s “Clucky”!
Another follower asked Irena whether she’s thinking about having a baby.
“I’m so clucky already!” she penned, noting that she “can’t wait to be a mum”.
The nurse then reiterated that a family is something she and Locky have always wanted.

“It’s something that I’ve always looked forward to, and I can’t wait to see Locky as a dad. He’s a little clucky too.” AW!
Since her miscarriage, Irena said she’s visited a specialist and has had tests done “so hopefully [they] won’t have any issues”.
“I am [hopeful] that a baby or two is in the near future but not too near,” she confessed. “I just got back to work and can’t go straight onto maternity leave.”
Irena Srbinovksa Can’t Wait To Be Locky Gilbert’s Wife
We all know by now that a wedding is on the horizon for Locky and Irena, but that doesn’t stop people from asking when it’s going to happen!
Replying to a question on Instagram, Irena said “marriage is definitely on the cards”.
“I have found the person that makes me the happiest, supports me, loves me unconditionally and completes my life,” she said.
“I can’t wait to be Mrs Gilbert.” We’re not crying… you are! Thank the heavens that someone has pulled Locky out of his super-spreader ways!
Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska Are House Hunting
One follower mused that “house hunting is stressful”, wondering what the duo are looking for in a property.
Irena confessed that while “it’s so hard”, they’re still looking for the perfect place to call home.
However, they do know that they want to stay in South Perth because Irena “can’t move away from the swans”!
“We are looking for a home that we will be in until the kids grow out of it,” she added. “So it’s hard at the moment.”
Is Locky Gilbert Vegan?
“Is Locky vegan?” one person asked the reality star, who previously revealed she stopped eating animal products over four years ago. “If not, can you share a little on how you navigate this together?”
“Locky is about 80-90% vegan,” Irena confessed. “At home he eats vegan and when we eat out that’s when he will eat meat, but even then it’s not that often.”
She also revealed that her beau has stopped having dairy in his coffee but “it doesn’t bother” her when he eats meat or dairy.
“I can’t expect him to change what he eats and drinks because of me… He has started eating more vegan on his own because he enjoys it, not because I have asked him to.”
She revealed that it’s this fact that “means more” to her, before adding that her partner eating meat is “a challenge that [she] has faced before”.
“It’s just never been an issue for me because I have never dated a vegan.”
What Did The Ladies On The Bachelor Need To Pack For The Show?
A keen Bachelor fan asked the 2020 winner what the contestants were required to pack for the experience, and what items were provided.
Irena then revealed that the ladies were given a “basic” list of things to bring with them, however, cocktail dresses were provided on set.

“So we just need to bring group date and single date outfits plus outfits to wear around the mansion,” she spilled.
She also ‘fessed up that they had to pack enough for three months of filming, which is why she had “one suitcase full of clothing and the other full of toiletries, makeup, accessories and shoes”!
“We have so much plus at the beginning we had no idea about COVID so the plan was to go to Hawaii for the finale.” Ahh, what could have been!
The Bachelor Australia Wasn’t The First Reality Show Irena Srbinovska Applied For
Irena surprised us all when she confessed that The Bachelor wasn’t her first pick of reality shows.
Asked whether she’d do another reality show, she said: “I never thought I would ever go on The Bachelor, but it wasn’t the first show I had applied for or auditioned for.” Say what now?!
“Many moons ago I auditioned for MasterChef Australia as I love cooking!”
She also admitted that she wouldn’t survive on Survivor (where Locky got his reality TV start), “despite surviving on beans and rice every day”.
However, it’s never say never for Irena, who said she is “open to doing another show”. Perhaps we’ll see her on Celebrity MasterChef in the future!
