The Bachelor Australia‘s Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovski are engaged!
The couple announced the exciting news on Instagram, Saturday, June 4, with a gallery of sweet snaps from the proposal at Mackenzie Falls at Grampians National Park.
“Mrs Gilbert has a nice ring to it,” they captioned the joint post, alongside a diamond ring emoji.
It appears that the two-time Survivor star popped the question to Irena during a hike, stopping at the base of a waterfall to get down on bended knee.
The news was met with excitement from fellow Bachelor alums who flocked to the post to leave their congratulations.
“OMG YESSSS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE,” Alisha Aitken-Radburn wrote.
Her partner Glenn Smith also left similar well-wishes, writing: “Congratulations lovers! Amazing news!”
Former Bachelorette Georgia Love was equally excited by the news, writing: “AAHHHHH!!!! Congratulations guys!!!”
Season one Bachelor winner and Locky’s SAS Australia co-star, Anna Heinrich, expressed that she was “so happy” for the couple.
A number of contestants from Locky’s season also congratulated the pair, including second runner-up Bec Vilikas. However, notably – and understandably – there was no acknowledgement from runner-up Bella Varelis at the time of writing.
The couple met and fell in love on The Bachelor in 2020 and recently celebrated a number of exciting milestones, including purchasing their first home together.
