The cast of Married at First Sight Australia 2023 have only just regained access to their Instagrams, and they’ve already been able to make a sh*tload of money on there.

The fan faves from the chaotic marriage experiment have been using their platforms to rake in the dosh and their earnings have been pretty impressive.

Boss babe Melinda Willis, 32, already had a strong following before MAFS, but since her stint on the show, she’s become the most followed cast member, garnering an impressive 558,000 fans.

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, this means that the beauty CEO can charge a minimum of $2,700 for collaborations. Whew. We need to wipe our eyes after that one.

Despite entering the experiment as an intruder, Evelyn Ellis has become the second most popular contestant, with a whopping 403,000 followers.

This means that the 26-year-old MAXIM Covergirl can charge around $1,950 per sponsored post – aka absolute bank!

Not far behind, the marketing manager’s boyfriend Duncan James, 36, has amassed around 318,000 fans on Instagram, which means he can pocket $1,550 per post.

MAFS sweethearts Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton have earnt themselves a jaw-dropping 400,000 followers between them, which means they can charge $2,000 per post to their shared audience.

However, it seems like an influencing career might not be as lucrative for the other cast members, ahem, the supporting actors.

This means that they’re less likely to make as much money through brand deals. Boohoo. We guess that’s what you get for signing up for MAFS for the wrong reasons…

Experts say MAFS 2023 brides don’t have what it takes to be influencers

These stats come after a professional influencer manager told Yahoo Lifestyle that the MAFS 2023 cast weren’t going to make it as full-time influencers. Ouch.

“These days you can’t quit your day job with anything less than 300,000 followers and even then they have to be super engaged. The market is more saturated than ever,” the influencer manager explained.

Although many contestants have signed with talent managers already, their follower counts aren’t even close to what they need to make it in the industry according to this expert. Eek!
