The Married at First Sight Australia 2023 cast finally have access to their Instagram accounts again, but there’s one catch they aren’t happy about.

So Dramatic! previously reported that while the stars were set to get regain access to social media on May 8, a delay with the UK broadcast of the 10th season stalled plans.

Now, one participant has revealed that while they’re being handed back their accounts on May 15, new conditions have thrown a spanner in the works.

“I get my account back today, thank f*ck,” the star told So Dramatic!. “Handover meetings go from today through to Friday.

“Some [participants] have theirs from this morning, mine’s this arvo. Apparently, [producers] are saying we can post but can’t say we are back or that we have our accounts back on our accounts yet.

“Lol so silly.”

Another MAFS star added that instead of announcing their foray back online, they can “start posting everyday things”.

“Otherwise it makes everything else they’ve posted for us look like it wasn’t genuinely us posting,” they explained.

“And they wipe[d] all our messages too.”

Married at First Sight 2023 participants express frustration over social media delay

In an email obtained by So Dramatic!, a Nine employee told MAFS participants that the delay in social media handover was due to a change in the UK’s broadcast of the series.

“Hi all, apologies but unfortunately our handover meetings will push back a week as the UK has changed their broadcast of episodes, moving the final two reunions to next week,” it read.

An insider further told So Dramatic! that “the cast members are furious and p*ssed off” with the hold-up, and no wonder. Think about all of the brand deals they’re missing out on and the BTS tea they can’t spill!

“Some of us had work already booked and now we’ve had to put it on hold and push it back a week, majorly stuffing up our schedules for the next few months,” one contestant dished.

“It’s ridiculous. They are pulling the p*ss.”
