Married at First Sight Australia 2022 bride Ella Ding has spilled even more piping hot tea in the second part of her explosive tell-all with the So Dramatic! podcast.
Now, strap in, because things get a little (a lot) hectic as Ella recounts her breakup and what the go is with that f*cked claim about Mitch feeling up Tamara Djordjevic at the Couples Retreat.
What Happened When Mitch and Ella Broke Up After Married at First Sight?
Despite leaving the Married at First Sight 2022 reunion hand in hand, Ella said Mitch became distant after the show wrapped up.
“We didn’t really talk much,” she said. “It did start to sort of fizzle.”
Adding that he was very nonchalant about his upcoming birthday, Ella said she tried to organise to visit him on the Gold Coast after seeing a friend in Sydney.
“Then he was like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to do anything, I can’t be bothered. You go do your Sydney thing,” she remembered. “Then, like a week before his birthday he… decided that he was going to have a bit of a shindig.”
Noting that she “felt a bit weird” about the sudden change of plans, Ella revealed the couple didn’t speak for a number of days. As a result, she decided not to contact Mitch and “see what happens”.
“We were texting at the time… then he replied to me a few hours later saying, ‘I’m just getting lunch with Tamara’.”
According to Ella, this was “out of nowhere” as Mitch had never mentioned being friends with Tamara since leaving the show.
However, when an article came out insinuating that Ella and Brent were on a beach “date” on Valentine’s Day, Mitch “went to town” on his TV wife.
“I tried to call him, [but] he blocked my calls. I tried to text him,” she said. “He was saying, ‘we’re not friends, we’re done’.”
Ella then revealed that since the photos of her and Brent at the beach went public, she’s only heard from Mitch once in the form of a missed call.
Did Mitch and Tamara Know Each Other Before Married at First Sight?
While there has been plenty of speculation that Mitch and Tamara knew each other before the show, Ella said her “insecurities” over the pair began “at the start” of the experiment.
In fact, it all stemmed from Mitch mentioning that his fellow Queenslander had been watching his Instagram Stories before filming started.
“He was like, ‘I think there’s a girl here that’s been watching my Stories’,” Ella recalled. “I was like, ‘How on earth did you know that… I don’t know anyone here at MAFS‘. It didn’t really make sense to me.
“He obviously knew that she was [in the experiment] if he knew that.”
After it was revealed that Mitch and Tamara worked in the same Gold Coast office complex, Ella said he denied ever meeting Tamara when she questioned whether they knew each other prior to MAFS.
However, the Melburnian is sceptical given that one of Mitch’s exes is friends with Tamara’s roommate.
“You have mutual friends,” she said of Mitch and Tamara. “They definitely knew each other if she was watching his Story.”
Did Mitch Really Feel Up Tamara In the Pool at the Couples Retreat?
Following her trainwreck Final Vows ceremony, Ella revealed during a radio interview that Tamara attempted to stir up trouble in her relationship at the Couples Retreat.
“At the Couples Retreat, [Tamara] said that Mitchell grabbed her ass in the pool… when I wasn’t around,” she dished.
According to the 28-year-old, the Queenslander made the claims during dinner at the retreat in an attempt to “start drama”.
“She was like, ‘Ella and Mitch, you guys haven’t had any drama [in] this experiment. Maybe we should start the drama. What if I told you that Mitchell grabbed my ass in the pool today?’”
While Mitch denied the allegation at the time, Ella told Megan that she has recently learned the “joke” was conjured up between a number of participants.
“Mitch, [Samantha Moitzi] and Tamara were in on it, which I only just found out,” she said. “I thought it was just Tamara making sh*t up.”
Tamara then attempted to apologise to Ella, decreeing it was “just [her] sense of humour”.
“And I was like, ‘I just don’t think that’s very funny’.”
Tamara and Carolina’s Prank Call “Tipped” Ella Over
Adding that she “doesn’t care anymore” when it comes to Mitch and Tamara, a prank call from the latter and Carolina Santos “really tipped [her] over”.
In April, the pair, along with a number of their fellow MAFS cronies, made a number of abusive phone calls to Ella, Domenica, Brent and So Dramatic!‘s very own host.
“When I’m with my crew from MAFS, we’re not talking about the show anymore,” Ella admitted. “I’m on my own journey… I’m healing. I don’t need f*cking daily reminders. I don’t need you calling me on my Saturday night.”
According to the fan favourite, Carolina faked niceties before taunting her about Mitch and Tamara’s relationship.
“[She said], ‘I’m just calling because I heard about Mitch and Tamara and I’m really sorry that that has happened,'” Ella recalled. “I thought she was being genuine… Then I noticed a change of tone in her voice.”
The beautician then revealed that the Brazillian bride claimed the pair had been “all over each other” in Queensland and told Ella that she had an intimate video of the alleged couple taken on a night out.
“Carolina [then] said… Mitchell was saying he’s in love with [Tamara], they’re in love. Okay, well cool, I don’t need to know,” she said. “It did really p*ss me off.”
Married at First Sight‘s Ella On Her “Authentic” Friendships Post-Show
“We formed this little family… they’re my best friends,” she said. “And Domenica [Calarco]… we just can’t be without each other.
“Just the connection and the way that we have been there for each in one of the biggest experiences of our life yet. It is life-changing.”
Adding that she “understands” Domenica, Ella loves “the fact that she gives [her] her opinion”.
“She gives me a backbone and I ground her and I think that’s why we work really well as a friendship.”
Ella Weighs In On Those Bachelorette Rumours
While Ella admitted that she would “love” to be on TV again, she’s sceptical about taking on The Bachelorette.
“Everyone’s been saying [I should do] Bachelorette but I don’t think that’s me,” she confessed. “I feel like that might be a bit of a step down from MAFS, to be honest.
“I don’t know yet, it’s too much for my brain right now.”
