Married at First Sight Australia 2022 bride Ella Ding has exclusively revealed the truth about her relationship with co-star Brent Vitiello to So Dramatic!.
Since her relationship with her expert-appointed bae, Mitch Eynaud, crashed and burned, fans have been clamouring for the apparent budding romance between the Melburnian and hunky hospitality expert.
Despite a number of cosy outings, Ella and Brent have firmly maintained that they’re strictly besties and nothing more.
However, after an explosive tell-all interview with So Dramatic! host Megan Pustetto, we’re not entirely sure that’s still the case!
In episode 179 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the 28-year-old fan fave revealed that she and the 34-year-old may have engaged in some more-than-bestie behaviour at their recent joint birthday bash.
“We’re both very physically attracted to each other, there’s no denying that,” Ella said before adding: “I may have pecked him.”
SAY WHAT NOW?!
“Yeah, I did kiss him, on the lips….on the lip area once… on my birthday.” OMG!!!
Now, don’t get too excited, #TeamBrella stans — our homegirl is still very much “just friends” with Brent… for now, anyway…
Ella Confesses She Doesn’t Want to Jeopardise Her Friendship With Brent
Confessing that she “doesn’t have anything to hide”, Ella said she would be totally honest if things were getting serious with Brent.
“If something was genuinely going on with Brent… I’d have no shame in telling everyone,” she admitted. “Right now, we are really just friends. We’re just getting to know each other.”
Praising the venue manager for being “so respectful”, Ella said there was no rush for things to progress between the pair.
In fact, there is the fear that their strong friendship could be jeopardised should Ella and Brent venture into romantic territory.
“You would hate to risk losing someone because it just didn’t go the right way, or you had this pressure and you just did it for the sake of it,” she expressed. “I’m not willing to risk what we have right now.
“We just like going at a really chill, healthy, happy, fun pace.”
The couple has come to the conclusion, however, that they’d probably still be together IRL had they been matched by the MAFS experts from day dot.
“We do agree if we got matched, we probably would have been a lot better and could have been another success story,” she told So Dramatic!. And we concur!
