While he’s still currently on Aussie screens on Married at First Sight Australia 2022, our favourite larrikin Al Perkins could soon be doing shoeys on UK reality TV.
From talk about “consumicating” his TV marriage with Samantha Moitzi to doing the worm every chance he gets, the 25-year-old groom has provided some much-needed comedic relief among this year’s MAFS drama.
Now that the ninth instalment of the marriage experiment is airing on British broadcaster E4, Al has garnered the attention of casting producers behind some of the country’s most famous reality shows.
As reported by Yahoo! Lifestyle, the cheeky tradie could have some very lucrative offers on the table once his contract is up with Nine.
“Al is made for reality TV,” one British casting producer told the publication. “[He’s] a natural fit for most UK shows, where there’s big money to be made.”
According to the industry professional, Al could join the ranks of Geordie Shore stars and “teach the gang ‘shoeys’ and how Aussies party”.
They added: “Celebs Go Dating bosses are also interested in potentially signing him for a future season.”
Well, he may not come out of Married at First Sight a husband, but he’ll definitely emerge from the experiment as a STAR!
Other MAFS Stars Have Made The Leap To UK Reality TV
Bébé Al is not the first (and won’t be the last) Married at First Sight star to dabble in oversees reality TV.
After a stint on Big Brother VIP Australia, MAFS alumni Jessika Power nabbed a gig on UK’s Celebs Go Dating.

The series sees “single” celebrities join an exclusive dating agency in a bid to find true love. However, they’re matched with non-celeb suitors, which makes for some pretty hilarious TV.
While there are rumours that Jessika is being tapped for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Love Island, recent reports indicate that the 29-year-old is tipped to star in her own reality series modelled on naughties hit, The Simple Life.
Michael Goonan and KC Osborne Take On Celebrity Ex On The Beach
After appearing on Married at First Sight 2020, Michael Goonan and KC Osborne ditched their TV spouses in favour of each other.
However, while their romance was fleeting, the pair are now capitalising on the drama, appearing on UK’s Celebrity Ex on the Beach.
Exactly as the name implies, the hit MTV series features a group of eight singles on a beachfront location. Then, their ex-partners are also invited to spend the trip with them.
In a twist celebrity edition, KC and Michael are appearing alongside some of the UK’s hottest stars, including Love Island’s Megan Barton-Hanson, Kaz Crossley and The Only Way Is Essex‘s James Lock.
