Ella Ding has admitted that she lied to protect her former TV husband Mitch Eynaud at the Married at First Sight Australia 2022 Reunion dinner party.
Fans will remember that fateful moment Tamara Djordjevic claimed Mitch confessed his feelings for her during a drunken phone call.
We all thought it was utter BS and well, what fools are we!
Mitch vehemently denied making any such declarations, adding that Tamara wasn’t “special” because he also called a number of other co-stars at the time. This included Dion Giannarelli, Matt Ridley, and, of course, his “wife”, Ella.
The Melburnian beauty defended Mitch and backed up his version of events.
However, in the first half of an exclusive tell-all with So Dramatic!‘s Megan Pustetto, Ella revealed she never got a call from Mitch on *that* particular evening.
Wondering why she defended him “so much”, the 28-year-old said her former bae convinced her to lie for him before arriving at the Reunion.
“He was just like, ‘Just in case it gets brought up tonight, I drunk-called Tamara, and I called Matt and Dion’,” Ella recalled. “[Then] he was like, ‘If it gets brought up tonight, just without causing drama, can you say that I called you too?’
“So I lied for him.”
Ella Regrets Defending Mitch Knowing What She Knows Now
Ella admitted to So Dramatic! that it “definitely” was a red flag when Mitch asked her to lie to the group, especially seeing as it has since been confirmed that he and Tamara are, indeed, dating IRL.
However: “He convinced me so hard that nothing was happening with him and Tamara.
“He said that she was crazy toxic, [saying] ‘I’d never fucking do that… Yuck’,” she lamented. “I was like, I trust this guy. I [lied] because he really cemented it in my mind.
“That was probably the only part of the reunion that I watched back and was like, ‘God damn, why’d you do that?'”
Noting that Mitch was the first guy she has ever lived with, Ella said the fallout of their relationship has “hit [her] pretty hard”.
“I’m just feeling… really numb from it all, and I didn’t think I’d be so hurt,” she expressed. “I definitely have been pretty hurt by the way that it’s sort of changed… since filming.
“It’s hit me pretty hard.”
Ella Confesses Her Breakup With Mitch Has Affected Potential Relationships
Sure, Ella may have admitted there’s sexual attraction between her and her MAFS co-star Brent Vitiello. However, the beautician confessed getting intimate with someone new is the last thing on her mind.
She was initially promoted as 2022’s “horny bride”, but according to Ella, her libido has been MIA since the show wrapped up.
“My libido has never been gone in my whole life, and it’s just been gone ever since I finished the show with Mitch,” she said. “I guess stress overtook it.
“I’ve never experienced this before, to be honest with you. I love having fun with men, and you know, I’ve been single for 10 years. I know how to have fun with them and be…connected in that sexual way. But I’ve never had this before, so it’s all very strange.”
Despite the uncharted territory, Ella said “it’s nice” to not have the pressure of sex as she gets to know Brent.
“The last guy I dated… we didn’t sleep together for six weeks,” she admitted. “We actually just built that foundation of a friendship because you gotta have that.
“I think for Brent and I right now, we are just really building a really nice friendship.”
