Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Bronte Schofield has been accused of “enabling” Harrison Boon‘s abusive behaviour after they tried to wreck Melinda Willis and Layton Mills‘ relationship.
During the March 7 episode, the serial gaslighter attempted to shine the spotlight on another “toxic” TV couple in an attempt to take the attention away from his own BS.
Harrison told Layton that his relationship appeared “fake” and shared his concern that his friend was “losing his identity” and becoming “disconnected“.
Of course, Harrison would be a great judge of a “toxic relationship” since he actively participates in exactly that (and worse)…
Harrison relayed his belief to Bronte, who told Melinda what she had heard, after adamantly denying that she was being “gaslit or love bombed”.
But while Melinda quickly recognised that the “he-said-she-said” drama was all part of Harrison’s ongoing manipulation, some fans questioned whether Bronte was “enabling” her TV husband’s problematic behaviour.

But other Married at First Sight fans didn’t blame the literal victim of blatant emotional abuse. Because WTAF even was that sh*t take?
Maintaining our meagre faith in humanity, far more viewers shared their concern for Bronte’s mental well-being.
Some argued that MAFS producers should have stepped in and removed Bronte from the abusive situation.
It came after she apologised to Harrison for “misinterpreting” what he told her about Melinda and Layton, despite it being glaringly obvious what his real intent was.
Seriously, Harrison’s textbook gaslighting should be studied at this point…
