Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Hugo Armstrong, Harrison Boon AND Dan Hunjas are in hot water as a butt dial scandal rocks the experiment.
As previously revealed by So Dramatic!, intruders Hugo and Tayla Winter reportedly hit more tumultuous terrain after the groom accidentally buzzed his new wifey and was overheard calling her some choice words.
However, it turns out that fellow intruder Rupert Bugden was the accidental butt-dialler and roped a number of his buddies into drama after Evelyn Ellis copped an earful of their boys’ night out.
One source dished in episode 260 of the So Dramatic! podcast that it all went down while “a bunch of the guys were out together at Opera Bar”.
Apparently, the fellas in attendance were Duncan James, Rupert, Dan, Hugo, Harrison Boon and “a few others”.
Rest assured, sweet prince Duncan is in the clear when it comes to douchebaggery here.
“A few of them were saying some pretty honest and horrible things about their matches,” the insider said. “Rupert — allegedly — accidentally butt-dialled Evelyn during this conversation.
“He put his phone in his pocket and forgot to lock it and it accidentally dialled Evelyn. She heard everything the guys were saying about their wives.”
The call reported lasted “for about seven minutes” — and we have a feeling it was more like Hell rather than Heaven!

As we alluded to, Hugo is busted saying some spicy stuff about Tayla.
One insider revealed: “He was bitching about her. He called her a nightmare, [said] she was impossible to be around and even went as far as to call her a c*nt.”
The intruder went on to tell his fellow grooms “how awful she’d been treating him and what she’d been doing to him”.
We mean, forcing someone to sleep on a daybed is a total punishment…
However, Hugo wasn’t voicing the worst of it, with sources confessing Dan was “heard saying some really racist stuff about Sandy [Jawanda]“.

Dan has previously been exposed for echoing his wedding guests’ “casually racist” remarks in regard to his TV wife.
Ever a man to steer towards, “Barbie doll types”, the father-of-one reportedly said Sandy is “not his type at all because he doesn’t date Indians”. Yikes.
“He was also busted gloating about ex-partners he’s dated,” a source added. “He showed the boys pictures of models he’s dated in the past.”
“Dan throws racial slurs in the mix. He was annoyed he was paired with an Indian woman when all the girls he has dated in the past are glamours with fake lips and boobs, white and mostly blonde.”
They added: “Dan said something like being in the experiment is like being in a candy story when you can’t have any of the candy and get given broccoli.” BIG YIKES!
Unsurprisingly, the butt-dial incident “further breaks down” Dan and Sandy’s already dwindling relationship.
“Dan denies it, Sandy questions him and completely loses trust in him after that and they fight even more,” the insider said. “All hell breaks loose at the Dinner Party.”
As such, the duo pack up and leave the experiment.

Harrison is also said to have chucked his two cents in, “gloating about women” he’s dating and showing photos of them. He also stated that he was “bloody stoked to be paired with someone who is at least f*ckable”. Gross.
“Harrison and Dan showed the other husbands pictures of the type of women they usually date, saying their current matches are a stitch-up and not up to their usual standard,” the insider recalled.
According to our insider, the pair also admitted that they’re only on MAFS for fame (surprise, surprise!).
The conspiracy behind Married at First Sight 2023‘s butt-dial scandal
Evelyn allegedly “personally told the girls everything their partners had said about them”.
It’s no wonder that the grooms being exposed “rocks a lot of marriages”. However, there is a conspiracy about whether the former Big Brother UK star embellished the story.
“Some people couldn’t — and still don’t — believe there was even a butt dial,” one insider said.
“The boys were sitting next to a live band. There is no way Evelyn could have clearly heard what they were saying through Rupert’s pants with that level of noise”
As such, a number of contestants “find it very hard to believe” she heard the entire conversation.
Much to our dismay, the whole situation “happened off-camera” and away from film crews. So, the chances of Evelyn being clued in by producers is very unlikely, too.
So, what’s the theory about the butt-dial scandal?
“What a lot of people think really happened is that Rupert came home drunk, told Evelyn and they used the butt dial to cover up how she knew so that Rupert didn’t get shit about dogging the boys,” one source said.
“Or she overheard snippets of the conversation and when he came home, she asked him about it and he told her more, then blamed the butt dial so he didn’t look like a dog.”
Rupert reportedly confessed “at the end of the season” that he DID tell Evelyn what went down that night.
However, the model “maintains that she also heard something”.
