Married at First Sight Australia 2023 “villain” Shannon Adams‘ ex-fiancée Jamea Drake has received a massive influx of questions asking whether she’s back together with the controversial TV groom.
During the February 14 episode, Shannon and Caitlin McConville‘s relationship came to a grinding halt after he brutally placed the blame on his TV wife for him wanting to stray back to his ex.
In the teaser trailer for the February 15 MAFS Dinner Party, reported pot-stirrer Lyndall Grace spotted Shannon with Jamea and their daughter on an unauthorised day out in Sydney amid filming for Intimacy Week.
As reported in episode 256 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it can be revealed that Jamea did visit Shannon on-set just days after his blow-up with Caitlin. However, Jamea claimed on February 15 that she has only ever been in Sydney once, back in 2020.
So Dramatic has also obtained family photos dated just days after Shannon’s time on MAFS concluded. That’s certainly a quick turnaround for a “toxic” former relationship!
An insider source revealed Shannon stayed at his ex-partner’s home in Queensland with his daughter for a month straight after MAFS wrapped.
“Shannon and Jamea were back together but she was hesitant to move forward with the relationship publicly “due to what we’re going to see on screen and she doesn’t want to be ‘that girl’,” they said.

The mother-of-one confirmed to podcast host Megan Pustetto that while she wanted to “stay out” of the drama, she has rekindled her relationship with her baby daddy-turned-reality TV villain.
“Cats out of the bag as much as I didn’t want it to be and wanted to stay out of it and the spotlight,” Jamea said.
She added: “Guess that would have never happened. Wishful thinking.”
Jamea explained that she received “bullying” due to Shannon repeatedly mentioning her on MAFS, where he described their relationship as “toxic”.
She confirmed to So Dramatic! that she didn’t consent to Shannon talking about her on the show and felt the backlash towards her wasn’t fair.

Jamea also reached out to MAFS fans on various Facebook groups, begging them to leave her and her daughter alone because they were “innocent”.
“Guys, I am the ex, I am in this group and have been a few years. (was a MAFS lover, Defs not my year),” Jamea wrote in Married at First Sight Facebook group.
She asked fans to leave her “out of the negativity” and revealed that she never wanted to be included on the show.
“You can all continue to comment about the people and who [are] ON THE show. God, I don’t care what you say about Shannon either, [as] he signed up for it and put himself there. But PLEASE leave me out of the negativity,” Jamea asked.
She added: “I DID NOT sign up on the show, I didn’t go on and I am literally collateral damage. I have NO benefit in being in the media or put there, and truthfully not my cup of tea I could not give a hoot about my followers or socials [sic].
“Please remember me and my daughter are innocent… I am a mum, I am a person with real feelings. Plus my life is HELLLLA stressful as it is. This is my REAL life and not a show.”

Jamea reminded MAFS viewers that they only saw small, out-of-context snippets of her seven-year relationship with Shannon, both as romantic partners and co-parents to their daughter.
She explained that many of the phone conversations they had were because she had been in hospital with pancreatitis before and during filming.
Jamea also hinted that Shannon never told her that they were “100 per cent over” and suggested he was leading both her and Caitlin along.
“All information will be revealed whether it’s on MAFS or after it’s done. Also, I’m only seeing what’s on MAFS an hour behind as I’m in QLD, so [a] lot is a shock to me too,” she said.
“I’m going to take a huge step back from social media (well trying to) as I am literally terrified of this whole entire situation! I’m a sensitive soul who has so so much empathy,” Jamea finished the post.
