The Block 2022‘s Sarah-Jane Wilson has revealed what she thinks is the worst thing about filming the hit renovation show.

The longtime series is known for its difficult conditions (read: rats and poor ply toilet paper). However, the mum of one reckons Living Room Week was the worst of it.

Chatting with 9Now, the social worker said she and her husband Tom Calleja, were essentially screwed due to “labour and material shortages” at the time,

“There’s a lot of labour and material shortages, and that was really felt,” Sarah-Jane confessed.

“We just couldn’t seem to get our hands on anything, and it was just horrific.”

But despite the obstacles House One faced, they’ve still been able to muster up some pride for the finished product.

Tom, 34, also said he couldn’t be more thrilled with their The Block experience.

“I’ve had a great time here, I’ve been in my absolute element,” the tradie said. “I love meeting people, I love working, and everyone’s been so cool.”

However, we don’t think some of the other teams could say the same!

ICYMI: Reno newbies Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra have been vocal AF about their time on the show, which ended with their property’s shed unfinished.

Why Was Sharon and Ankur’s The Block Shed Left Unfinished?

According to House Three’s builders, the materials for the Stratco shed weren’t supplied in time.

However, site manager Aiden, Sharon, and Ankur denied this being the case, forcing their builder Liam to hit back at “laziness” claims once again.

“Absolute rubbish,” the chippy penned on Facebook after one fan suggested he, “told porkies” to Aiden over the incident.

“I’m sick of defending the lies. Straco did not do the brackets nor supply the bracket, even if we were to do it. I was chasing this up [almost] hourly when I realised they weren’t doing it.”

Liam went on to say that limited cladding was all that could be achieved without “horizontal battens” provided.

As for the flashings: “I was with Aiden looking for them when he went through his phone and told me he didn’t order them.

“Then suddenly… they are onsite but can’t tell me where and I couldn’t find them.”

This was just one of many clapbacks House Three’s builders had for the couple across the season.

Similarly, Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Malik were bogged down by a controversial experience, thanks to claims of “cheating” and “dodgy” on-site antics.
