Jessika Power has denied pulling out of appearing on The Challenge Australia after rumours circulated that she exited the new series just days before filming kicked off.
The Married at First Sight bride-turned-global TV sensation was slated to compete in the star-studded reality show that sees contestants go head to head in several gruelling challenges.
Now, reports have suggested that the 29-year-old withdrew herself from The Challenge (a co-production between Network Ten and Paramount+) and Jessika ain’t happy.
Taking to her Instagram Story on July 28, the MAFS 2019 bride said it wasn’t her decision to depart the series.
“I had my contract signed, bags packed, everything ready and received a message from my manager stating that the American executives had made a creative decision to not include me on the show despite believing I am ‘good talent’. [sic].” Jessika penned.
The statement was also accompanied by a screenshot of a Daily Mail Australia article headlined: “EXCLUSIVE: Jessika Power ‘pulls out’ of Ten’s gruelling new reality show The Challenge — just days before filming was due to commence.”
The write-up claimed that a “source close” to Jessika said she decided The Challenge wasn’t her schtick. As such, she apparently pulled out as she would “make more money filming content for OnlyFans“.
Jessika Power Slams the Daily Mail for Claiming Their Story was “Exclusive”
However, the Big Brother VIP star denied the validity of the source.
“I have no idea how daily mail believe this is an ‘EXCLUSIVE’. [sic].” she wrote. “It wouldn’t come from any source close to me and anyone close to me knows that I was excited to be chosen to do the show. [sic].”
She added that a day prior to her dumping, she was “having Skype interviews with the casting director” to discuss “opening outfits and filming location and leave dates”.

Calling the Daily Mail story a “crock of sh*t”, Jessika promised her followers a “real exclusive”.
In a subsequent post, she said she’d already completed her medical and background checks and had her “leave date” when she was dropped from The Challenge.
“Everything ahead come back clear and everyone was happy,” she wrote. “But sometimes in tv these ‘creative decisions’ happen and that’s okay because it’s always an honor to even be considered let alone film a new television show. [sic].”
Jessika noted that she had been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment. However, as she lives in the UK, it was “1:15am in the morning”.
“Don’t ever write EXCLUSIVE next to my name again without having actual facts from me. [sic].” she concluded.
“Idiots.”
Jessika Power Was Supposed to Compete Against Her Married at First Sight Rival Cyrell Paule
As exclusively revealed by So Dramatic!, had she proceeded to filming, Jessika would be up against her MAFS rival, Cyrell Paule.
This isn’t the only tension-filled duo pegged to take on The Challenge.
Ciarran Stott‘s former baes, Bachelor in Paradise’s Jessica Brody and Big Brother‘s Tully Smyth, are also set to reunite once the cameras start rolling.
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Australia 2022‘s David Subritzky, Australian Survivor‘s Brooke Jowett (A.K.A Locky Gilbert‘s former bae) and her co-star, Johnny Eastoe, are also on the bill.
Not to mention OG “I have a secret GF” Love Island Australia beau, Grant Crapp.
Now, this is going to be ICONIC TV. Buckle up!
