Beauty and the Geek host and reality TV mainstay Sophie Monk has revealed whether she’d ever appear on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia.
The bush-bashing reality competition has reeled in a number of yuge names from both Down Under and overseas since its debut in 2015. And year after year, people clamour for the ex-Bardot bandmate to appear in the jungle.
However, in a recent interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle, the 42-year-old confessed that despite being offered a gig on the show “a million times”, she just can’t be arsed adding another job to her repertoire right now.
“I just think at the moment I love the jobs I’ve got,” Sophie explained. “I’m fine with that, and I’m pretty lazy, to be honest. I’ve got two shows that I love, and I’m like, that’s all I want to do this year; that’s awesome.” We love a self-aware queen!
At the moment, Sophie is on the bill as host of two of Nine’s hit series — Beauty and the Geek and Love Island Australia.
What Show Could Sophie Monk Appear On Next?
While the newlywed is happy steering the reality TV ships, she’ll never say never to appearing as a contestant once again. That means I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! isn’t off the cards just yet!
“I love reality TV [and] I don’t know why there are some people in this industry that look down on it,” she said, adding that she thinks “it’s awesome”.
“I did The Masked Singer not long ago, so I’d definitely do reality TV again, depending on the show.”
However, if she were to compete in the reality sphere again, the former Bachelorette said it would be a case of “right show, right timing”.
“I just think they’re fun and they’re an adventure,” she admitted. “You learn so much from being in those environments under the pump.”
So, what’s next for Sophie? Australian Ninja Warrior? SAS Australia? MasterChef? The possibilities are endless!
