Married at First Sight Australia 2019 bride Jessika Power has revealed the one thing producers gave her for free while filming the series.
Everyone always has a million questions about how MAFS works behind the scenes, as such, Jessika took to Instagram on June 28 to answer her followers’ burning questions about the marriage experiment.
One fan wondered who foots the bill for the cast’s dinner party outfits, with the 30-year-old revealing it’s on the participants to BYO their wardrobe.
“We had to pay [for dinner party outfits],” she confessed. “I had to buy a whole new wardrobe.”
However, Jessika, who has since appeared on Big Brother VIP and Celebs Go Dating UK, dished that “the one thing you get for free is the wedding dress”. And TBH, that’s the most important look of the whole series!
Married at First Sight 2021 bride Beck Zemek previously told So Dramatic! that she was only given $500 to purchase her wedding dress.
“It’s $500 for the wedding and $200 for the Final Vows,” Beck revealed in episode 170 of the So Dramatic! podcast.
That $500 had to cover everything including “hair, accessories, earrings, shoes, dress,” she said at the time.

During the same Q&A, Jessika responded to rumours that she and her British boyfriend Connor Thompson are secretly engaged.
Laughing, the successful OnlyFans creator said she “[doesn’t] know the answer to that”.
“When you meet someone, you don’t rush into things like that,” she confessed. “We’re happy… just living life together.”
In October 2021, Jessika revealed she was moving to England to live with the UK podcaster after striking up a romance on Instagram after her season of MAFS aired overseas.
The pair currently live in Manchester, with Jessika recently telling the Herald Sun that the duo is returning to Brisbane in September.
