Married at First Sight Australia 2019‘s Jessika Power has revealed that she is taking legal action against an unidentified OnlyFans copycat following an illegal content leak.
In July, it was revealed that 14 MAFS brides were targeted in a mass content leak.
The violation saw countless intimate photos and videos — stolen mainly from OnlyFans — distributed in a since-removed Reddit group.
Now, Jessika has exclusively told So Dramatic! that her security team have spent multiple days in court after someone used her identity to illegally sell her NSFW content online.
“This person has got my same name, all my [OnlyFans] videos. So, obviously, they’ve paid money to have my videos, and they’ve been selling them,” she said.
While she’s not naive to ignore that she’s had her “photos leaked since the second [she] started OnlyFans”, the stolen online identity has been a whole new ball game.
“My security team have been in court for like, the whole week because some freak has been selling my pictures,” the reality star said, adding: “What the f*ck?”
Jessika Power’s Team Was Instrumental In Getting the Illegal Reddit Group Shut Down
In Australia, it is a criminal offence to share intimate images of a person without their consent.
It is also a violation of OnlyFans’ terms and conditions to distribute users’ content when it is held behind a paywall.
After Yahoo! Lifestyle reported the mass leak on July 19, Reddit confirmed the group had been removed.
Jessika’s team “acted fast” in having her content scraped from the site, according to the publication.
Amid the leak, OnlyFans creators stand to lose thousands of dollars in revenue.
This is due to fans being less likely to pay for content when it is available for free in an online directory.
