Fans have speculated that The Block Australia is also set to be axed after the New Zealand version of the renovation series was recently canned.

From disgruntled locals to teams quitting at the eleventh hour, the upcoming season of the hit reality show is rumoured to be the most dramatic one yet (yep, even after last year’s train wreck).

After it was revealed that the New Zealand rendition of the show was being cancelled, fans took to Facebook to question whether the Aussie version would be following in its footsteps.

The Block has been cancelled in NZ… Will it follow here?” one user asked.

They then referenced the departures of longtime judge Neale Whitaker and Foreman Keith Schleiger, stating: “Maybe they all know something we don’t and are getting out while they can.”

Another speculated that the 2024 series “might just be the last season full stop”.

This comes after viewers complained about the drama and nastiness that took over the wholesome renovation show they once loved.

However, on May 29, a Nine spokesperson put the rumours to bed.

“Despite the speculation, The Block isn’t being cancelled,” they told Daily Mail Australia. And we guess that settles it!
