The Block 2024 villains have already been revealed, and they’re tipped to be more divisive than 2023 contestants Kristy and Brett Beames.
Leaked photos recently revealed the teams for the upcoming 20th season of the hit renovation show, currently filming in Victoria’s Phillip Island.
It’s since been teased that the purple team, a couple from Adelaide, will bring the SPICE to the hotly anticipated series. We can’t wait!
“If you think Kristy and Brett were divisive to viewers, well, you ain’t seen nothing yet,” a source told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
The couple in question are Mimi and Kristian Belperio. They added: “The feeling is that we have bought some serious dynamite with these two, and we are just waiting for an explosion.”
According to the outlet, Mimi and Kristian went viral on TikTok thanks to their boujee wedding. So, any The Block fans hoping for an influencer-less season might be sh*t outta luck…

The duo are also said to be the owners of Adelaide’s West Lakes restaurant, Ba Khang.
The Block 2024 is doubling down on drama
While we don’t know what their shenanigans are just yet, Channel Nine seems to be sticking with the same formula that brought rave ratings last year.
“The show is designed to put people in situations where they feel uncomfortable so that even the nicest contestants will blow up at things that are not that big of a deal,” the source explained.
“When you are under massive pressure on The Block, building a house and going head to head with your highly competitive neighbours, we know that people behave badly,” they continued. “This year isn’t going to be any different.”
The sources also said that while filming is only in its early days, they “could not be happier with the new lineup of Blockheads.”
“I think people are expecting this next season to be sunshine and lollipops… But they will be shocked when they see how ruthless some of these new contestants are.”
