The Block 2023 viewers have complained to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) about “bullying” and “harassment” between contestants.

The 19th season of the hit renovation show has been rocked by “bullying“, “mind games” and “toxic behaviour”.

And it seems fans have had enough, with ACMA receiving a registered total of 28 complaints in just one week.

One spokesperson told The Australian: “The majority of the inquiries [are] related to allegations of bullying, harassment and promotion of anti-social behaviour between contestants.”

Nine has 60 days to respond to the complaints.

It comes in the wake of backlash from fans after “mean girls” Kristy Beams and Leah Milton continued to bully their co-stars throughout the season.

Things came to a halt when Kristy admitted to sabotaging Steph Ottavio‘s master bedroom by “getting into her head” during the September 12 episode, sparking numerous ACMA complaints.

The Block 2023 ratings take a MASSIVE plunge amid viewer complaints

The hit renovation show lost one-fifth of its viewership amidst complaints of “bullying“.

Despite being dubbed one of Australia’s favourite reality programs, The Daily Telegraph reported that ratings for the hit renovation series are down 20 per cent year-on-year.

The Block‘s long-time judge Darren Palmer also weighed in on the drama.

“It’s fortunate we don’t hear about or see anything that happens during the week,” he said of the judges’ position.

“Keeps judging fair and subjective. I don’t condone bullying”.
